I have lost the manual and i dont remember how to thread a bobbin. Pleas help me and thank you!

change the needle--flat side to the back of the machine
check to see if
1. bobbin is inserted correctly
2. are there any burrs on the needle plate or bobbin area
3. change thread--use every thread guide
name of machine & model number is not shown
if this is a baby lock machine then go to the website & contact customer service about a manual

I'm guessing it's probably the same as mine (8280). This is what the manual says: "Hold the bobbin case with one hand, insert the bobbin so that the thread runs in a clockwise direction. Pull the thread through the **** and under the finger. Hold the bobbin case by the hinged latch and insert into the shuttle." It's hard to describe, but if you've sewn before, it should come back quickly. To be more specific, hold the bobbin case in your left hand, insert the bobbin so the thread is coming up from underneath, pull thread through the **** and into the part where the hole is. If you slide the thread around, it will fit into the slot in there. Pull the latch out and insert it into the shuttle.

What brand of machine is it - google the brand, model
# and the word manual - if it is older you may be able
to find a free one.- Are you able to wind a bobbin and then have trouble? If that is the problem - make sure you keep your foot on your foot pedal and don't vary your speed at all - you want your bobbin wound evenly. If that is not the problem check with some of your friends who sew because most bobbins are wound the same - or go into a used sewing machine
store with the name of your machine - they should
be able to tell you how to do it or google it -how to wind a bobbin..

If I remember correctly this machine has a little arm in the bobbin case area. You will need to open the slide plate, move that arm towards the middle of the bobbin. Thread your machine as normal, take the thread going through the needle eye and wrap it around the thumb screw a couple times, then start "sewing" your bobbin should begin filling, once started, you can release the thread wrapped around the thumbscrew. Once filled, you simply close the slide plate and that moves the arm back into place and start sewing.

I discovered that when the thread is knotting up on the underside of the material that it is usually the threading on top and has nothing to do with the bobbin.
