I'm trying to make some business cards online using a file that i made with print shop 10. the website tells me that the resolution is too low. how do i remedy this

Go to ur control panel click on appearence and themes then click on display in the display properties click the tab settings u can change ur resolution there .

I am currently using both Print Shop 5.0 Premier and Print Shop 10. I am switching to a new computer with Windows 7 and will need to install Print Shop 23 Deluxe. Will I be able to retrieve all the files...

I will advice you to locate the print-shop folders that are on your computer. or simple open one of the files you created with this software and right click file location. it will open where all the other files are stored on your computer. backup everything stored on your computer to a flash drive.

If you are scanning, you should be able to set the resolution (DPI x DPI) in the scanner configuration. If it is blurry, it could be that the default scan resolution is lower (10 dpi or even 75 dpi).
Settings location will depend on the scanner and software used.

Best scan at an equal (300 dpi) or even higher resolution, so you can scale the image afterwards without quality loss.

I want to make business cards but don't know where to begin

if your print workshop has cd with it install it then choose the template for business cards , design it and print. If your cards do not have cd with it you will have to go to openoffice.org download what you need to create the business cards. Hope this helps if it does'nt repost I will be watching for it.

I cant print business cards on my hp c5280

Verify no pieces of the card paper are missing and try printing on plain paper to make sure. Then try new card paper and make sure none of the perforations are separated.

I can not install The Print Shop Pro Publisher Deluxe in My PC With XP

It doesn't do much good to post that information on this type of forum.

You need to write to the manufacturers of the Print Shop Pro and let them know of your problems, and request a replacement or refund from them.

I would also suggest looking at their website online - http://www.broderbund.com/, and see if there is something else you could find out about your installation.

I have an earlier version of this software. It is 99% clipart, and 1% forms, but useful if you have no other way to create a web page or business card. (You can create business cards in Word too.)

Also, be sure when you try to install it that your firewall is temporarily disabled, or your computer might treat your new software like a virus.

Quality too low for 4x6 prints

A P72 should be good enough for 4x6 prints. Are you shooting at the maximum resolution? At 3.2 Megapixels you should be able to print at 4x6" at 250dpi (which although not ideal is better than that of most magazine printing!)

The graininess of your images is not to do with resolution but rather sensitivity and the processing engine in the camera. Are you shooting in bright light, or mainly with the flash? If it is the latter, I'm afraid you're always going to have the picture noise (graininess) with this camera.

If you're going to upgrade, look for a model with good low light capabilities and a good lens. www.dpreview.com is an excellent resource for comparison shopping.

Kodak z730 resolution issues

It sounds to me that for whatever reason, you might be trying to export the thumbnail copy of the picture. On a 5MP you are right its more than enough to develop in sizes up to an 11 x 14.

However (I'm not too familiar with the Mac software, my apologies) if you are exporting or saving the thumbnail to your card, they will save at a far smaller size, and would lead to your pixellation problems, and the reason why the pictures are not coming out okay.
