The wired controller connects to the xbox 360 and the lights around the X on the controller blinks, but the controller doesn't register and will only blink. I can leave it alone for as long as I want, but it wont register as Player 1 or any player. It doesn't register if another controller is already registered either. It has been working for a few months perfectly fine, only recently has this problem arouse.
If you are running Windows 7, Go to Start>ControlPanel>Device Manager. In the Device list you should see the Afterglow controller in the list with a yellow exclamation mark next to it.
Click on the selection. Then click on drivers tab. Then click update driver. When asked if you want to search for drivers online or browse PC for drivers, choose browse PC. Look for XBOX 360 Controller for Windows Version 2.1.0.1349 (8/13/2009). Select that and you should successfully install the driver for the Afterglow controller.
Try to reset your controller with the help of a pin. look for the small hole and press the pin for a while it will reset the controller. i hope this will resolve the issue.
there is no reset button that i could find. if there is one please correct me and tell me where it is

I think I found the solution guys. Took me awhile but it occurred by accident funny enough. It's about the USB port finder program. Basically when you plug in the controller make sure it is the ONLY thing using USB. Or as minimal as possible. I've had no problems since I used to have a bluetooth, and an extra wireless keyboard hooked up and then would use the controller on another USB port. I think the computer has trouble differentiating controls.
End of story: Make sure the Afterglow 360 controller is plugged in by itself with as few other USBs as possible. Unplug all USB and try it solo if all else fails. Have had no troubles since. Hope this helps.
