Hello. I want to use only one ink cartridge (black not color) in the printer but it won't work and asks to install the additional color cartridge. Is there a way to print with only ONE cartridge?? Thanks
If you look at the options in the printer there should be an option to use the color cartridge to print black. How does this work? Well what the printer will do is mix all three colors to make a light black. This will eat up your color cartridge faster but is useful when you are out of black ink and you need to print
No the printer requires both cartridges to print.
BUT you can go to properties from print preview and choose black and white for your prints.
As long as you have the color cartridge in as long as you use black and white from print preferences you should be fine.

Sometimes the ink cartridge carrier
won't automatically move to its loading position even when the printer is on
and the cover is open. Follow the steps below:
1. Unplug the printer from the power
source.
2. With the cover open, hold the
solid white strip that connects from the carrier assembly to the ink cartridge
carrier and gently slide the cartridge carrier to the center of the printer.
3. Remove the used cartridge.
4. Load the new black cartridge. Close
the cover.
5. Plug the printer back to the
power source.
