Puslar watch has day and date windows with what appears to be a two position crown stem. The day window is at the top of the face above the 12 jewel. The date window is in the 3 oclock position.

I cannot get my Seiko SNA304 chronograph second hand to reset after battery change. Keeps resetting to the 17 minute position, I have tried to use the manual instructions but with no success, Any help...

Hello,

Seiko watches are a popular accessory for both men and women. The history of Seiko watches goes back to 1881 long time ago, when the company that was to become Seiko began. From the beginning, the method to set a Seiko watch has been designed to be a simple process.

The following are the steps to set a Seiko watch for the time, day and date function, and for setting the chronograph on an analog watch.

Set the Time:

  • THE CROWN
Pull the button on the side of the watch carefully, the crown, out to its most extended position. You will need to unlock the crown if your watch has a locking crown. To unlock, turn the crown counter clockwise. While the crown is pulled out in the setting position, the watch will cease functioning.
  • 12 O'CLOCK POSITION
Turn the crown clockwise to move the hands of the watch past the 12 o'clock position on the dial. The day and date will change to indicate AM setting but will not change for PM setting. It is recommended that you set a Seiko watch in the morning for instant day and date setting; however, this can be done manually.
  • FINISH
To finish setting the time, simply push the crown until it is flush with the side of the watch.

Good luck and thanks for using fixya.

Unable to reset brietling colt, even after ajusting stem to 1st and 2nd postions.

mcdevito75 here, Let"s hope your description of the problem with your watch is wrong. Try this sequence, First, wind your watch, the automatic continues to wind your watch when you where it but to get it started, wind it 20--30 times. 2nd, your crown locks down, turn the stem Clockwise to un-lock it (the stem) now pull the stem all the way out then back in 1/2 way to set date. Set DATE to DATE before the real date turn crown counterclockwise. Now pull out crown all the way and turn clockwise to set the DATE and time (real Date) push the crown back in and turn counterclockwise to lock the crown. If this doesn"t work, look for a small watch repair shop in your area for this adjustment.

Model 2302 how to back up date?

Hi,

You should not be able to unscrew the crown from the stem by turning in either direction. So don't worry about that.

If your watch only has a date then you can "quick" change it by pulling the crown out to the first click and turning the crown. One direction will change the date. If your watch has both day and date then one direction will change the day and the other will change the date.

You will have to go forward counting the date upwards. You won't be able to make it go backward.

Once you have the date set push the crown back in and if it screws down be sure to screw it down so it is sealed.

Hope this helps,
Ken
