Cant recieve text messages

On my samsung upstage i can send texts but i cant recieve any text messages

    wow im havin the same problem wit my upstage now... it was never a problem ive had this phone for almost a year now and all sudden it just stopped recieving texts... i can send text and i text myself and get it but i cant get other ppls texts.. ive called sprint they have no idea they say its a device problem but i dont think thats the thing..

Yes i have the Sprint LG Rumor and none of my texts are coming in. I dont think it is a device problem. At first my text messages wouldnt send at all and then i restarted my phone and they started to send but i cant recieve any text messages. Its been like this for the past hour. My Girlfriends texts are not coming in, as well as my sisters. I texted my sisters phone and her texts didnt come either. Its really frustrating me and id like to have it fixed.

Maybe you never activated the phone to receive txt messages. Call up sprint and activate incoming txt.

Your cellphone provider should have provided you with certain data to set up your phone, depending on the phone type, the send and recieve settings for text messages and calls can vary.
If you did not recieve these your best option would be to call your cellphone provider helpdesk. Newer phones can be set-up by a simple text message from the provider. Or they might have to guide you trough the settings manually.

Cant send or recieve text messages on my mobile phone
hi, if you are having trouble sending or recieving text messages then the fisrt thing you need to do is delete all the sent and recieved messages and also drafts due to the fact that if your memory is full this will give you loads of problem sending and recieving text or mms messages so deleting these will then get your messages working again.

If how ever you still cant send or recieve text messages then the chances are that your message center number is wrong or got mest up, what you need to do is contact your service provider and ask them to send you the text message center number settings, they will then tell you the correct message center number and how to change this setting on your phone.

They wont charge for this and it will only take 2 minutes to solve your problem.

Simple solution. Delete your old messages in outbox and inbox. If still won't let you receive or send text contact your service provider.

I cant send text messages they just move immediately to the outbox then try to re-send. The message icon has stopped flashing when i send a text and it is now just solid. I can make/receive calls and texts...
i have the same problem. i have been using this cell for about one year and suddenly this probelm has occured. if i put my sim in another cell phone, i can send messages with the same sim. otherwise, in this set, my messages are send to outbox and in resend state. i can recieve calls/messages but cannot send sms thrugh my samsung. please help! i have checked my message settings. they are all okay.

Text messages
if you cannot recieve check with your network operator as this may not be active on your number . sending text messages is also another thing that you will have to speak to your network about as you will need a service centre number .
