Toilet won't shut off

I 've tried cleaning the tank, cleaning the rubber stopper that stops the flow, but it continues to run, and I can't find new "innards" to install. Do they even make the flushing component to replace the old?

Go to your local hardware store and ask for a new tilet repair kit for your tank. They make universal kits for just about any tank. They can give you some tips on how to do it your self or you can go on youtube and search "toilet tank repair".

I want to answer my own question...... My Original Question is What if the water flow from the toilet tank shuts off to the bowl before it should stop?

There is a float that shuts the water off when it comes up to the level is was set for. It is adjustable, but it can also be defective. You can but a whole new flushing mechanism in a Home Depot, or Loews, or other hardware store. But first try to adjust the float. If the float is sticking, I would replace it.

Roca dual push button Toilet will only flush when holding the push button continuously down until the cistern is empty. It won't completely flush like it should when pressing the button once.

allow tank to fill a little more by adjusting fill valve. When there's not enough water flowing from tank the stopper can over-power the water flow and cause the flush to stop by re-sealing.

MY TOILET FLUSH VALVE SEEMS TO BE CLOGED BUT I CLEANED IT IT WILL FLUSH BUT WONT FILL TANK YOU CAN HEAR WATER WANTING TO COME OUT PLEASE HELP

Hi Juan
Unfortunately we can't see what you can see. The problem must be right in front of you but you are missing it. Eg Parts / Seals in backwards.
If you can't figure it out and it's that urgent then call a plumber.
Good Luck

I have a 2yr old Kohler K4634 toilet. After flushing the water level drops about 1 inch in the bowl after the bowl filled. This causes a lower level in the bowl than is recommended. The main issue

check to see if waster continues to run into the bowl after the plunger has returned to stop water flowing. If it is a slow leak then replace the flush washer on the stopper plunger.

Toto neorest leaking & low pressure wand

Sounds like the washer in the shutoff at the wall has failed and is partially blocking the fill pipe. Some rubber from it may have gotten into the toilet valve internally. With the wall valve closed, try to remove the connection pipe to the toilet. If you can do it without water continuing to flow out of the wall shut off...then remove the pipe from the wall shut off. Flush the toilet. Now, apply air pressure to the rubber hose the goes into the overflow pipe. That may clear the valve in the tank and solve both problems. If you cannot stop the water at the wall shut off, close the water valve feeding the house. Remove static water pressure by opening the cold water a the kitchen sink faucet. Now you can open the wall shutoff valve and replace the washer and clean it out....

Water is leaking from the tank to the bowl.

I've had this happen before. Mine was a bad seal between the tank and the bowl. I had to replace that stopper and the gasket underneath it between the tank and the bowl. It's not very complicated or dangerous, but you will have to remove the tank to do it. Have plenty of towels ready and plan for a place to sit the tank in (maybe your bathtub) while you are working.

Water won't stop running in the tank.

I guess the stopper or whatever that black rubber thinghie down the bottom is called, needs to be replaced.

Wear gloves when taking it off.

Internal leak

I am not familiar with this particular toilet, but most toilets that have a tank have this problem when the rubber flap stopper does not seal and allows water to trickle through.

this is the rubber stopper that lifts when you use the flush handle, the fix was to use the handle and allow all the water to flow out and use a soft rag and clean the area that the stopper seals to, and you will also want to clean the stopper of any gunk that may have accumulated on it.

The gmax continues to run and won/t stop

if it worked fine and now it has stopped....then there is no adjustment that will fix it. If the fill valve is not shutting off you either need to replace the seal in the valve or get a new fill valve. If the water is leaking past the flapper you will need a new flapper.
