I'm not sure what I pressed, but my Panasonic KX-T7453 no longer displays the date and time as the home screen. It now displays my extension number and the name to which the extensions belongs to. So what it reads now is: 119: HANNAH. And then below that there is an additional row which reads: STA EXT FEAT. How do I change this so that it displays the date and time? Also, how do I change the name listed on this phone. Because "HANNAH" was the name of the person who sat at my desk before I replaced her. Please help. Thank you.
Press the * key to switch back to date and time. Also, the SHIFT button on top will change the STA EXT FEAT.
The only way I know of changing the name is in the main phone system.
The instructions to change the name from "Hannah to Linda will be found in the binder or full sized publication titled “User Manuel’ for the models KX-TD816 and KX-TD1232 that came with the phone system.
You will want to use the overlay that DID come in the smaller book. You will place it on top of the buttons and it will provide programming commands listed in the instructions.
Page 71 has the “Getting into programming” details.
You must be at ext 101 to do this programming.
[Program], **, 1234
Now you are in user programming mode.
Page 87 will instruct you how to program names.
Press 004, [Next], [19]
Once the jack and the old name are displayed, press [Clear] and then start pressing the letters according to the “Overlay”. (3 = 3 D E F) press the S-button that displays the correct character. S-buttons are the 3 buttons directly below the display. When you are done press [Store] and you can press [Next] to se more jacks or just exit by pressing [Program].
