I have a golflogix /Firewall Problem

I have a golflogix which eventually worked ok with replacement and technical support. For the last year I have not been able to search for new courses. I've only been able to download courses I've previously downloaded to my computer. When I try to search for a new course I'm informed that firewall is blocking. I am further informed that it is not their problem and to forward all questions to my provider. I have disconnecting the firewall of my Norton 360 Primier Edition but it still reads "blocked by firewall". My internet provider is through Comcast. Golflogix doesn't want to hear from me. It seems that I can't be the only person with this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks, Chris.

THat error means you need to download the updated software, you have the 3.0 software. go to golfgps.com, choose the gps8, and download software, and do the second download software link.

It may have been corrupted update. Remove the App, reboot the phone and redownload the App. If that doesn't work, contact Golf Logix direct.

I can no-longer play lan games (winxp), all hardware is checked and ok. have checked firewall and that appears ok, have played lan games for years with no problem

go to control panel, and use the " restore system" utility. Put the last day that you know was working good and fix it.

I turned it on the power led is on but no boot at all, the screen is ok and hdd led.. light on,only laptop working for 5 - 10 seconds is working,and turn off....last year was the same, send to Acer...

How about the battery? Is it fully charged up and is the charger working at the right voltage?

Golflogix want turn on seems to be lock up screen

If your light comes on, but the lcd is blank, the lcd is fried. Check ebay, there was someone selling a fix the lcd service, or call golflogix if you are still under warranty (even if you arent, i got mine replaced for 125. not too bad considering i paid 300 for it originally.

Completed all the steps, loaded 20 courses, said the download was good, last thing was go play golf, nothing on the screen other than it would lite up for a few seconds, it was inconsistent lighting up...

Sounds like a dead handset. If you just bought it, I would take it back and get a different one. if not, call golflogix.

I'm connected to the internet, obviously, i've turned off my firewall, and when i try to search for courses, the message is "cannot search for courses", you are not connected to the internet, or...

Maybe you still have another firewall like windows firewall, mcaffe, norton or zone alarm. You can simply allow the device's IP address on the trusted zone settings of the firewall. You don't need to disable the firewall.

Half of lcd doesn't work

there is not, the lcd is hardwired to the mother board, so not replaceable. Give them a call to see if you are still under warranty.

MY GOLF LOGIX HAS WORKED FOR OVER 2 YEARS . NOW IT WILL NOT AQUIRE SATELLITES. OTHER GOLF LOGIX IN MY **** WORK FINE

The GolfLogix 7 had a problem that if you did a reset to factory defaults it wiped out the Almanac in the GPS. This is the Table of where the satelites are. Put in a fresh set of battery's....turn it on and put it out in the open sky for 4 to 8 hours. Sometimes this will work. If not contact Golflogix Tech Support. They ill probable ship you a replacement unit.

My Golflogix course manager software will not connect to the internet so that I cannot not search for and download courses. It worked in the past but in the last week or so every time I click on search it...

Is your AV ( anti virus)blocking it? Try disabling your AV and try it if it still doesn't work let me know i will be glad to help ^-^.
