If the keypad on your DSC Power 832 goes blank when the alarm is tripped, there could be a few reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try:
Check the power supply: Make sure that the power supply to the alarm system is working correctly. Check the power connections, and ensure that the battery is charged. A weak battery or poor power connections can cause the keypad to go blank.
Check the keypad connections: Check the keypad connections to ensure that they are secure and not corroded. Corroded connections can cause intermittent issues with the keypad.
Check for damaged wiring: Check the wiring to the keypad to ensure that it is not damaged. Damaged wiring can cause the keypad to lose power intermittently.
Test the keypad: Test the keypad to see if it is working correctly. Press each key on the keypad to ensure that it is responding. If any keys are not responding or are responding intermittently, there may be an issue with the keypad itself.
Check for a faulty control panel: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the control panel. A faulty control panel can cause intermittent issues with the keypad.
If you're unable to troubleshoot and resolve the issue on your own, it may be best to contact a professional alarm system technician to diagnose and fix the problem.
If your Jandy Aqualink RS6 keypad is not allowing you to change the color of your pool lights, there may be a problem with the keypad or the pool light controller.
To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:
Make sure the pool light controller is turned on and in the correct mode (i.e. color mode, not white mode).
Check the keypad settings to ensure it is set to control the pool lights. You can do this by pressing the "System" button on the keypad and navigating to the "Controls" menu.
If the keypad is set to control the pool lights, try resetting it by pressing and holding the "System" and "Back" buttons for 10 seconds. This will reset the keypad to its default settings and may resolve the issue.
If the problem persists, you may need to contact Jandy customer support for assistance. They will be able to provide you with more detailed troubleshooting steps and help you resolve the issue.
CHECKING KEYPAD
OPERATION
A rapidly blinking LED over
one of the keys of the keypad
(or sometimes a "dead"
keypad/console) indicates one
or more key switch lines are
stuck or shorted on either the
control or the keypad. To
determine if the control or
keypad is faulty, do the
following test:
1. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect
power.
2. Open the dishwasher door.
3. Open console and disconnect the
keypad ribbon connection from
the control (at P1). Make sure all
other connections are made.
4. Put console back together. Do not
close the dishwasher door.
5. Plug in dishwasher or reconnect
power.
6. Wait 5 seconds.
7. Close dishwasher door.
8. Monitor the control's response:
? If the control is OK (no longer
sees shorts with the keypad
unplugged), it will respond by
turning on a Drain Motor for
2 minutes. Check and/or
replace the keypad if the
control responds OK.
? If the control is not OK (still
sees shorts with the keypad
unplugged), then the drain
motor will NOT respond and
will remain off. If no response,
replace the control.

Go to System preferences, Keyboard. Try changing one item at a time to see if it recognizes the keypad. Restart the computer with the keypad plugged into USB port. I dialog box should appear to give you instructions in syncing the new keypad to the Mac.
I do not know what happened. Check the circuit breaker. The electrician is probably asking somebody else right now, because tradespeople want to know everything about their trade to expand skill and make money easier. Lutron has customer support number for you and the electrician: 1-800-523-9644 Calling Lutron might narrow down what product you have, and isolate problem. Once exact product is known, this will be helpful for the electrician. Plus you can re-post a question on fixya, and expert will look up that product and give possible help. This will also help you double-check the electrician. Between Lutron, the electrician, and fixya, a solution is probably reachable.
You can try to reset the grafik eye by turning off the circuit breaker to it for about 15 seconds and then turning it back on. Sometimes, they will get a surge and it freaks out the computer inside it a little bit. If that doesn't solve it, you may have a loose connection on the back of the grafik eye unit or one of the bedside keypads. There should be a 4 conductor wire (black, red, white, green) from the master unit to the bedside unit and then from bedside unit to bedside unit. The black wire is the common (ground), the red wire is the positive, and white and green are transmit and receive. It sounds like your transmit and receive loops are not complete (white and green). This would allow the led's on the front of the keypad to light up but not communicate to the grafik eye. Be sure to turn off the circuit breaker to the grafik eye before removing either the keypads and the grafik eye from the wall.
Good Luck
You can try programming but if it still doesn't work then your keypad is just bad. Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release it and then walk over to your keypad and key in your 4 digit code and press enter.
You can try and buy new keypads. You can take the keypads off by taking the whole housing off and you can it. i dont think it has anything to do with the phone. i think its just the keypads
