I had the same problem and began taking the base apart, cleaning everything with canned air. I found a foam filter next to the sensor board and it was packed full of dust. I blew everything again with the canned air, put it back together and the light cycled off after about a minute.

Have you checked the filters to see if they are blocked and need cleaning/replacing. Failing that it could be the sensor at fault.

What is the right bag for sebo x4

  1. First, pull out the hose, turn the unit on, check for an obstruction in the hose. (unclog and obstruction)
  2. Separate the body from power nozzle. Check for obstruction in the air hole passage.
  3. Pull and clean both filters in the unit. The inside white long carriage and the exhaust filter located above indicator panel. (nozzle body)
  4. If this is not working. think about where and how dirt is carried or passes from the front floor nozzle or through the hose.Somewhere in the unit the it is clogged. The red light censers a full bag (we know that's not the issue) or an obstruction to the normal air flow.
  5. Last Resort contact http://www.sebo.us/contact_us.aspx
  6. In closing: I've been selling and repairing vacuums for over 30 years. Of all the 5 major brands that I sell. Sebo is by far the, best product on the market.

How to fix squeaking and bag full sign lit on the sebo x4 extra upright vacuum?

Check the main "kitchen roll" filter isn't clogged which is on the left hand side of the bag when the bin door is opened. There could be a clog, either behind the pick out metal grid below the filter roll, or the roll filter requires to be replaced. Can you add more info about the squeaking though? Is it a high pitched squeal all of the time or just intermittent and where it seems to be coming from - it could be excess air escaping from a pierced hose or a drive belt issue.

Sebo upright vacuum cleaner - Bag full or clog light on constantly when using as an upright but not when using detachment pipe. Bag changed and no sign of blockage. Is this a common fault or does it need...

Hello,

I have actually written an in depth trouble shooting guide on how to find the clog in your Sebo. Since this light is coming on only when you have the wand inserted into the vacuum and are vacuuming the floor, this indicates that your clog is in the bottom of the machine. The link below will explain exactly what you need to do to locate, and clear this clog.

This should be the exact fix your vacuum needs:

Red light comes on saying bag full or clogged. Bag has only recently been changed so what do I look at next?

You look for a blockage - almost certainly in the flexible hose. Remove the hose from the machine completely (both ends, that is), then switch the machine on and the red light should not come on unless you block the hole on the top of the bag compartment with your hand. Then you need to investigate the hose, to find and remove any blockage. This is not always easy. You can try sucking a blockage out, back the way it came in, either with a second vacuum or simply by reversing it on your Sebo as best you can. This will often pull the blockage to the point where you can get hold of it with pliers or a bent wire or the like. Unless all else fails, and you get desperate, don't try pushing a blockage out with a broom handle or anything like that as you will probably only consolidate the blockage. You should also check in the little trap-door on the underside of the base to make sure all is clear there.
If you need further guidance, just post a reply here and I'll answer as soon as I can. Good luck!

The red light on the cleaner keeps coming on. I

It could be clogged or there is a sensor adjustment for this machine and it takes a very small screw driver to adjust it. Take it to a certifies Sebo dealer and he can fix it in just a minute.

Sebo x5 vacuum cleaner

The full bag light comes on when it is getting full or a blockage in the hose or the dirt inlet by the brush roll. Other then that, there is a circuit board called the computer controller, part #5740ER and is giving you a false reading and causing a shut down.
