The message that appears " Life-Cam Cinema has stopped working" upon invoking the button can be the result because of
(1) Software corruption (including the Operating System)
(2) Software clash issues with other software.
In order to fully resolve the problem first make sure that there is no other USB device connected to your PC and that the only device connected is your Camera.
First run Disk Cleanup go to Start> All Programs > Accessories> System Tools >Disk
Cleanup. It will delete useless files on your PC.
Start >type in Search box (in case of XP it is the RUN box) > type "cmd" find at top of list cmd > RIGHT
CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN
sfc /scannow
Then use the command chkdsk to check the health of the hard disk of your PC. To do that go to start menu and in lower box of the Start menu where it says Run in Xp and " Search programs and files" (In case of Vista and 7) type cmd A black screen will apear type "CHKDSK" and hit enter to find errors in the your PC disk drive.
If these two steps come out to be ok than If you have Windows XP service pack 2 if you already do not have one. Please note that Windows XP service pack 3 is not for everybody as Microsoft warns. Please avoid it as it can complicate the problem for you. Similarly keep your windows updated with latest service packs (which in our case in SP2)and Windows updates in the case of Windows Vista and Windows 7. You can find service pack downloads from Microsoft's official website.
After doing this do the following
When you restart the computer if the message bothering you persists than it is evident that the problem is not caused by Windows components which is usually the case. If the problem disappears please follow the problem on the following link.

Networking, Plug and Play, Event Logging, Error Reporting, and other
services. If you disable these services, you may permanently delete
all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use the System Restore

If there no such software in your PC or the problem persists then do the following
Download and install the latest software
