Plug in the webcam Go into your Control Panel and navigate to Device Manager Expand the Imaging Folder and right click on the webcam text Select 'enable'
are the drivers for the webcam installed?......a driver is the computer program that runs the webcam.....you can get most drivers for free at driverguide.com
The first step to try is to uninstall and reinstall the hardware. Right-click on your My Computer icon, then select Manage. Highlight Device Manager on the list, then find your webcam in the list of hardware. Right click on the webcam in your list, then select Uninstall. Once completely uninstalled, reboot your PC. After your PC is back up, reinstall the hardware. Make sure you use the driver CD that came with the webcam. Hope this helps!!
