Hi. Try to drain the electrostatic energy of the motherboard. Please follow the procedure below.

Take out the battery
Unplugged the power adapter
Press and hold the power button for 30secs
Put everything back in
Power on the computer

If issue still persist after this troubleshooting. I suggest to call your computer manufacturer and have your laptop serviced for this is LCD problem already.

Cannot get an HP G60 120US running Win Vista SP2 to recognize wireless internet connection. Wireless button will not turn blue (on), even after a two-minute power down reset with the battery removed...

I've had similar problems with wireless cards refusing to turn their light blue until the driver was updated via windows update. Obviously I had to do this using a wired connection. Try connectiing with a wired connection and udating until windows update tell you everything is up to date then restart your laptop and wait for about 5 minutes before you press the on/off button on your wireless. You can also try removing the wireless card (physically I mean) rebooting, shutting down and replacing the card then rebooting again. If you know anybody that has the same kind of laptop ask if you can try their wireless card to see if it's a fault with that. Sorry I can't help more.

WIFI

Sounds like one of these problems.

1) The wireless hardware is turned off in the BIOS. Reboot and check to see if there is an entry in the BIOS for the embedded wireless card and if so make sure it is set to ON.

2) The hardware is not recognised because the drivers are not properly installed. Check in DEVICE MANAGER to see if the wireless appears at all, and if it is in an error state. If so, re-install latest drivers from the manufacturer's web site.

3) Other software necessary may be missing. Some machines have wireless manager clients that they need to access the card. Check on the manufacturers' web site for these utilities, and if found, install them and reboot watching for new (different) problems to arise.

4) You could have buggered wireless hardware, but this seems pretty unlikely. Some wireless cards are add-ins and can be removed from the laptop motherboard by accessing them through a door on the bottom of the unit. If that is the case with your machine, power down the unit and remove the wireless card. Check in the hardware manager to make sure no device errors for the card remain, and if they do, remove the hardware by right-clicking on the error device icon and clicking on REMOVE HARDWARE. Then, power down and re-insert the wireless card and reboot and try a clean install.

Good luck...
