How to change the answering maching message

i have a eurotel e1110 cordless home phone, ican any one help me, and let me know how to retrive my answer phone messages?

unplugging the unit from the power source and waiting 30seconds seems to be the answer. the answering machine is working and i can call out again.

I would start by testing the phone while you are standing next to it. Call yourself from your cell phone and see if your answering machine is actually picking up.

My guess is that somehow the voicemail service from your telephone company got activated and the phone never rings long enough for the answering machine to pick up.

The other possibility is that your answering machine got set to "announce only." You don't specify what exact model you have but on mine (which is a Vtech 5.8GHz model with multiple handsets) you turn the answering machine on by pressing the on button and then use the menu button to cycle through the choices. One of the choices is "set announce only." When you are on that choice press the change button. If it says off, then it is set correctly. If it says on, press the change button again to alter the setting from on to off.

Hi Bibi - Is this a regular land line? Is the fax machine supposed to answer if it's a fax but not answer if it's a phone call? Let me know exactly what your mothers' setup is please. It sounds to me like the fax is trying to answer all the calls and the screeching she hears is the fax machine try to handshake, or connect, with another fax machine. You've probably heard what that sounds like. Let me know the answers and if you can ask some people that called if they heard anything. Thanks.

Is the OGM distorted on the callers phone or on the same speaker the incoming messages are heard?

If it's just the speaker, then the speaker itself or the amplifier drving the speaker is defective.

If the OGM is distorted for callers, then the signal processing before the amplifiers is defective.

More than likely it's a replace not a fix. The speaker unit itself will be very difficult to source. Maybe a very well stocked Radio Shack. Any electronics will likely be in a (custom?) integrated circuit.

Get remote access code from the machine get it by pressing set up button on answering machine. Go to another phone when machine picks up enter access code then enter *7 record new message press 5 when done then to end call enter *9

Look at the bottom of the answering maching and get the serial number and the name. We can help you out with a link or the manual download.
