How Do I Connect a JVC I Art (AV-27F476) to a PS3?

I'm trying to connect my PS3 to a JVC TV (model AV-27F476). I have the standard cable that comes with the PS3 and I think I've tried connecting it to all the different combinations and switched through all the inputs... still no picture or sound.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll bet you have vertical output IC with some pins not soldered. This IC ( integrated circuit) is a "chip" that makes the picture fill out from top to bottom. After a period of time heat will cause the pins to crack loose on the circuit board. You need to have a tech check it for you. Stargazer

SOURCE: Connection to Dish service

Your t.v is having only RFin , and if you connecting dish receiver , normaly their are two o/p for receiver one is RF and two is for audio out and video out. if your connecting direct RFout to t.v RF in then you have to tune the t.v in all bands. if your receiver do not having RFout facility, then you have to connect AV out to converter and then RFin of t.v. if you having a vcr, then connect AVout of dish receiver to vcr AVin and then vcr RFout to t.v again tune the t.v and pwer on the vcr.

SOURCE: JVC AV-36D502: Input #3 doesn't work

Good day sir, its a different issue, about the capacitor, for as long as your replacement part is correct, it will work, now, there are several things you should check, the I/O device that controls the inputs of the TV, usually an IC, check your schematic diagram to trace the fault. check also the line from the input 3 to the controller IC on your diagram. Measure the voltage across the IC Vcc to ground if the IC is getting the right power, Low voltage can be cause by faulty capacitors, on the power supply line, or the IC itself is faulty, Circuit analysis and voltage measurements are needed to trace the faulty part. hope this helps thanks.

How do i connect a playstation 3 to a philips tv

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a high-definition gaming console that supports both standard AV connections and high-resolution connections (such as HDMI). Most of the older Philips TVs come with a standard AV input. Newer, flat-panel Philips TVs include standard AV inputs and high-resolution inputs. To get the best video quality out of your PS3, using an HDMI connection is recommended if the option is available. The PS3 does not include an HDMI cable, only a standard AV cable

Standard AV
  • 1 Turn off the PS3.
  • 2 Connect the flat end of the PS3 AV cable into the "AV Multi Out" port on the back of the PS3.
  • 3 Connect the "red," "white" and "yellow" prongs on the opposite end of the PS3 AV cable into the corresponding "red," "white" and "yellow" AV inputs on the TV (usually located on the side or in the back).
  • 4 Press the "Source" button on the Philips TV remote.
  • 5 Select the "AV" video display mode.
  • 6 Turn on the PS3. The PS3 logo will appear on the screen.
  • HDMI Connection

I have a JVC AV-27D501 TV, I'm trying to connect a DVD player to the TV but not able to get the Video or Audio. My DVD player has Video Out (Yellow) and Audio out (white & red). Connected the AV cables...

I'm assuming the cable was plugged correctly - the colors matched. VIDEO 3 is for the front connectors so it should have worked . Since it hasn't then one of the three parts in this setup (tv, player, cable) is defective. To find out which you must do some simple tests:
    1. replace the cable and try again.
    2. take your player and connect it to a surely functional tv - if it doesn't work in there then it's defective.
    3. get another player that is surely functional and connect it to your tv - if it doesn't work then the AV switching IC from your tv (soldered on the mainboard) is defective and it will have to be replaced. Call a repairman, there is nothing more you can do.

VIDEO INPUTS NOT WORKING ON TV

Make sure TV is set to the AV input, yellow, red and white wire should be connected to color matching input on tv.
When you turn on the PS3 keep your finger on the power pad for 30 seconds and you should get a message from the ps3 about your input choice.
Let me know if this works, If it dosn't I will download the manual for the tv and try to help with it.
Please rate this solution, the only compensation I receive for my time is a good rating from you.

I need to know how to run my ps3 thru the optical wire to my hdtv

Before you start ensure that you read the TV instruction manual to know which resolution supports it. Do not switch on the TV and your console

You can connect your Playstation 3 to your TV in three different methods:

    1. Connecting with an AV cable
    2. Connecting with an HDMI cable
    3. Connecting with an Optical Cable

    Connecting with an AV Cable:

    1. You are supplied with a Composite AV cable which would typically look like the below image
    2. Connect the AV Multi Out Connector to the socket on the back of your PS3 Console.
    3. Match the colors of the Jacks with the connectors on the TV which says "Video in".

    Connecting with an HDMI Cable:

HDMI cable is not supplied with the PS3. You need to purchase it seperately. This cable would enhance the audio-video quality of your TV.

    1. Just connect one end of the connector to the HDMI OUT connector socket on the back of the console
    2. Connect the other end to the socket on the back of your TV which says HDMI IN.

    Connecting with an Optical cable:

You need to purchase an Optical cable if you wish to connect your PS3 console through a digital audio device (Home theater, AV receiver etc.,). You need to connect Video ouput seperately with a help of Video output cable (HDMI, AV Cable etc.,)

    1. Connect one end of the optical cable to "Audio Out" socket on the console
    2. Connect the other end to the audio receiver.

Note: You can also connect your console to the Internet to use the Playstation 3 internet capabilities. Here's how you do it:

The Playstation 3 only supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T type networks. It needs a High speed internet connection. Do not connect it to a standard telephone connection or cables that are not supported. It might cause a malfunction or damage to the system.

    PS3

I never tried a Ps3 on a standard def tv before but you may need a HDMI cable to connect from the tv to the console and you need a port on the tv for the av cable that comes with the ps3 to plug into the tv from the ps3. An HD tv has everything for the ps3 to run
