Monitor wont stop cycling through menu, its as if one of the monitor buttons were held down. as best as i can tell none are stuck. even after unplugging the monitor, as soon as it is plugged back in, it starts randomly cycling through menu options. this pretty much makes the center 2.5 sq inches of monitor real estate unusable. anything i can do to fix this, short of buying a new monitor? ive no warranties to void, so thats not a concern.

Sounds like a Philips. Had same problem. I used the actual arrow buttons on the monitor itself and while it was scrolling I kept hitting the arrow the opposite direction of the "scrolling" it locked on my PC signal. I can't use the remote or see my surveillance DVR at least I can use my PC. Oh I smacked it real hard the angrier I got! Funny thing it's worked fine for 5 days now. Just Sayin'

Monitor will cycle through the menu screen every few seconds after being turned on.

the menu button is stuck, use a sharp knife to pry the button out very lightly, not all the way out, just enough to make sure that it isnt stuck,if it still happens then the board for the menu button needs to be replaced

Have you tried doing a factory reset on the monitor? If the problem persists, then it could be an electronics fault or a stuck button.

I am unable to turn the screen off and the Menu button, actually, none of the buttons on the screen works. It constantly shows the Volume in the centre of the screen and I cannot remove it. Please help! ...

If none of the button are working then it could mean that one of the buttons is stuck or there is an issue with the board on the monitor itself.

Unplug the monitor from power and the computer. Make sure none of the buttons are stuck down, plug only power back in to the monitor and see what it shows. Plug it back into the computer and check to see if the problem returns

Device menu stuck

This sounds like the 'Other' connection jack has a bad internal switch. This switch in the connector tells the TV there is a device plugged into the external connections. A technician should be able to disable the 'Other' jack so it cannot be used. Try a service shop or even a technician friend for help.

Why does the model and serial number keep popping up on my sony monitor?

Try this:

Under the menu options, there's Menu Lock. Switch it to "On". It worked for me.
My menu button wasn't working, so to access the menu, I had to hold down the arrow up button and push the arrow down button till I got to the Menu Lock Option.

Volume pop up in the middle of my screen

no photos of said window presented? i cant see them?
must be OSD? the monitor brain on screen display (menu)?
even with the DVI cable pulled?
only a monitor stated, w1907, no PC
some monitors have button lock
read the manual ?oops HP deleted it...
it tells you to push the menu key on the monitor for 10 seconds
and it unlocks. (4 buttons right side left button is MENU)
doom?
that power deal sounds super bad, like the power supply is bad.
if the monitor fails by its self not plugged it to a PC
then the monitors is bad.
try a reset on it? ( power off for 1hr, or off then plug in with power button held? or power on with menu held (wild guesses but common practice)
ok found your manual page 4-8 shows menu page advanced
list line in list factory reset.
but if the keys are dead, and power lamp failing
the power supply is no good or worse. worse is always possible.
and expensive

ever see the support page, read the guides
