One of my phones stopped ringing on my nec dtu 16d phone

Ringing is assigned in system programming, very little chance it was changed by mistake. If Do-Not-Disturb was turned on, that could make a phone stop ringing. If it's just one line on a phone, maybe the system got put in night mode by mistake and night programming isn't identical to day ring. If you have direct access to the phone line check it for dial tone. Often virtual lines are used and you can't check for direct dial tone. On very rare occasion the ringer stops working, which can't be fixed.

Does not ring

If you recently dialed 4-0 or 4-1, those are Do Not Disturb and Call Forward codes. if this is what happened, then dial the cancel code for both, which is 4-2. This is with internal dial tone, don't grab an outside to do this. You could have someone dial your extension to test if the ringer is faulty. if their call comes in as voice announce, have them add a 1 to their dial sequence and their call should switch to audible ring, and you will know it's not a ringer issue. Adding a 1 can be done continuously if you want to switch back and forth.

We have an NEC DTU-16D-1A phone system. I'd like to know if it is possible to divert the calls to another extension (or put it on 'do not disturb' and have calls go back to reception)?

u can divert ur calls easily. Just go to settings, nd then u'll be getting a call settings. open call settings, there u'll find call divert. select call divert feature now select divert all voice calls, now feed the number u want to divert upon.
that's it, hope its helpful to u
thanks.

I have 00:DND on my display and cannot get it off. This is keeping me from answering the phone by picking up the receiver.

Do NOT pick up the receiver - Push the "FEATURE" button - Dial 60 - Push the "FEATURE" button again - this worked for me. Good Luck!
