Voice control: When reader and alert are on "off" status, there is no ring from incoming calls, or text. When it is "on" status, I hear the voice all the time repeating everything I do with the keyboard. HELP! Can I turn off the voice, and still get a ring tone from incoming calls, and Text?

I had the same probelm:My phone started using a female to tell me if somebody called to sent a text message. Phone: LG Lotus LX600 Solution: Tools -> 6)Voice Control -> 5)Voice GuideSet Alert to OffSet Reader to Off I don't know how it got into this state, but turning off the Voice Guide Alert and Reader made it go away.
Does the phone ring when you receive an incoming call? If so, press Menu go to Control Panel (or might be the profile is shown in the menu) after control panel, Profile then Options and then Personalize, then, scroll down and again select Message Alert Tone, set the Tone for the message. Also make sure that the volume is turned up. Save the settings and try again. If this doesn't help and you don't hear any ring tone during an incoming call, let me know after checking the sound settings.
try useing it on speaker phone..if it works there then the problem is in the speaker..it is eeasaly replaced also you can try and do a software upgrade..
with the phone closed, goto tools, voice commands....click on settings
in the lower right.......scroll down to call alert.......change to ring
only or caller id+ring....on the env that should solve your problem
