Monitor keeps blank even the power lLED is on green
Hi I have a problem with my monitor CRT 14" 104s. I use it for quite time. Now when I starts the computer the power light goes green but no display appear on screen. I replace with same monitor to check and the video is working fine as usual. Then I replace the power cable and fixed it again and some times the picture comes. i tried this when I got this fault every time and sometime I have to keep fixing the power cable for hours to take the display. suddenly the picture appears. I tried with replacing the power cable and cleaning and adjusting the three power pins in the monitor also. So it's still bugging me. Please give me a good workaround for [email protected]

I have a problem. When I start my computer the power light of my monitor goes green but no display appears on screen, it stays black. At first after a few minutes the image suddenly appeared, but now it takes almost half an hour for the image to appear. Do I have to change my monitor or could it be a problem with something else? It seems like if the monitor is talking time to heat up or something like that. By the way once the monitor is ok, if I turn off the PC and turn it up again it works normally, the problem is when I turn the PC off and the next day I turn it on again.
Re: Monitor keeps blank even the power lLED is on green
Try replacin a new display card. If it is fine working.ok
If not try fixing for cold solder in the video section.
I suggest video section according your report the light green LED lighted that shows the power section is doing fine.

If you have your proof-of-purchase and it shows the monitor is less than a year old, it would be covered. You would need to follow the procedure on their website to have the unit repaired or replaced, but it would not be your job to try to fix it.
1. First u can check any dry points in power supply board and controlling circuit.
2. check all connectors (connected properly)
3.To replace front pannle Micro switches.
It appears that the display resolution set in your display properties is out of the range that the LCD can display.
Try this.
Boot to the ENABLE VGA MODE by pressing F8 to get the Windows Boot Menu. If you can get to the desktop, then go to display properties, and see if you can change the resolution to higher settings and maintain video. (If the video blanks out, then it should revert to the previous setting in 15 seconds)
If it's working fine in DOS, it can only be your display drivers for your operating system. What happes when you start in SAFE MODE? When you PC starts, keep pressing the F8 key, go to Safe Mode. If it works, bring the Resolution down to 800 X 600 and load the new display card drivers. Restart, should be fine.
it could be the cable from the monitor to the pc it is defactive try a new one cuz if the monitor works then it is the cable that is makeing your screen go blank
I suspect the problem is with the monitor itself. I have had the same problem. I reported it to Dell and they sent me a new monitor within a few days the problem resurfaced again on the new monitor. They have since sent me a new monitor and the problem has disappeared.
The Dell customer service people sounded rather cagy to me when I suggested that this was a problem endemic to this model. The replacement monitor that I have had a sticker on the box that read "refurbished". This is a rather new model of monitor to already be into selling "refurbished" models.
If you are still under warranty I suggest you call them. And even if you aren't, call them anyway. I sense that they know about this problem.
