Hi Please note that dishwashers don’t drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn’t overheat. Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you’ll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump.

The screen going across the back must be removed and then there is a piston and nut assembly that will unscrew. This assembly is usually the problem in this case. Part number iswd24x10018 and less than 20.00
GE Triton dishwasher loud noise after draining water. We started to hear a sustained and loud noise after water is drained. This noise is not heard during washing and draining times. What is wrong? Thanks a lot!
there is a small float switch it could be internal in the pump,, you will need toget the numbers off the pump and check them with a referance guide on the make of the pump not the unit it is in,, get the serial number also
Air gap is clean Garbage disposal is clean Dishwasher fills with water OK Drain pump runs after a wait of several minutes and seems to run slow but drains most of the water out of the reservoir. Dishwasher is not running the wash cycle (spraying water on dishes)
Well, I haven't heard from anyone from this site yet, but I did talk to Mike Anderson of Anderson Appliance Repair in Clinton, Ten. He told me how to test the solenoid (should read 40 ohms at 1X on a multi tester). Check that the float at the bottom left corner is working and finally test the wires going into the motor (my motor shut down the moment the machine hit the drain cycle). Sure enough, I get 110 volts throughout and 0 at the drain cycle. He says it needs a new timer. If you try to clean it you'll have little springs and things shooting out. Good luck. and Thanks to Mike Anderson (865-945-3808)
