It might just be the carbon tracer pins. I have fixed 3 foot pedals by replacing the carbon tracer pins. It is quite tricky to hold the springs over the pins and put the little plate back on. Just be patient and go slowly.
I've just fixed this problem by replacingthe main capacitor in the foot pedal. I have a Bernina 830. I needed a soldering iron, and I had to buy the right capacitor, but it fixed this exact problem. Btw, a few months ago this problem initially appeared (on my machine) as an issue where the speed was either zero, or full speed). After a white it wouldn't work at all.
Was it a brand new pedal? May be an idea to test the foot controls on another machine. At least then you know if its the pedal or not
@warren_yo54 my foot pedal is doing the same thing, zero or full speed, but I just bought a new pedal and it's doing the same thing. What do you think is the problem there?
