How do I clean the filters?

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
Not knowing the Model # or Brand name, it is a good idea that you can vacuum of the filters, if you have a blower – you can blow off the dirt from the filters, some filters are washable and you can clean them by washing them and letting them dry completely before you re-install the filters. Idea? If you have an old paint brush, that is ideal to clean off HEPA filters or cartridge filters or use a blower to clean off the dirt. You need to be the best judge on how to clean the filters. You can check the company’s website for the brand name such as:

The upholstery tool on my bissell lift off deep cleaner sprays bUT doesn't suction?

The lint filter on the water tank cover may be the reason for that. Try cleaning the Filters. Clean the Flow Indicator Filter: Unscrew the Flow Indicator Cap to remove it. Lift out the rotor and the filter is under it. Lift out the filter and clean. The Water Tank Filter looks like a screen on the underneath the front area of the cover. It's held in with tension and just pulls out. Clean it and replace it. Hope that Helped but if it didn't call the consumer care at 1-800-237-7691

Cleaning fluid leaking out and machine not suctioning up water

First thing is clean the filters: Heat tank filter on the tank cap, and then the Flow Indicator Filter (turn the Flow Indicator Cap counter-clockwise and remove, lift rotor and filter out. Clean filter and reinstall in reverse order) Consumer Care # 1-800-237-7691

Why is there no suction or extration of wateron my bissell pro heat pet ?

Your filters may be clogged. The User Guide states that filters are to cleaned after each use. To clean them Turn the Flow Indicator Cap counter-clockwise and remove it. Lift out the rotor and filter. Clean filter and reinstall in reverse order. There is also a Lint Filter on the Hot Water Tank Cap that you should clean as well. When these get clogged they seem to do funny things. Hope I helped.

Has no suction

1. Remove dust collector compartment/s. Look for any filters, remove and clean. (Make sure you DO NOT clean filters with water.) Take filter/s outside and "slap" them against a flat surface. (Filter will be very messy to clean)
2. Replace all filters and compartments.
3. Also try using a wire hanger and try to reach as far down the hose as possible to remove any obstruction/s.

Note: Clean vacuum filters frequently to ensure proper suction.

Eureka Rally 2 had great suction the first two times I used it and now faint. No blockage and new bag and clean filter. What coud it be?

The dust bag holder is an important part of this vacuum. Make sure the bag is installed into the holder sliding bag collar into slots to secure.
Make sure the bag is tucked into cleaner. or the bag cover will not latch securely.
Also, the motor and exhaust filters should be cleaned at each bag replacement.
REPLACING THE FILTERS
Filters should be cleaned or replaced when they become visibly soiled or suction power is reduced. Always operate the cleaner with the filters installed to avoid motor damage. The dust bag must be changed and the filters cleaned or replaced if the window of the Clean Filter Indicator changes into red when the cleaner is operating at maximum power and the nozzle is raised from the floor.

Cleaning my bagless vacuum

Hi Anne,
It does not say to get the filter wet but;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; I have had mine for 2 years. When I do a thourgh cleaning of the filter. I actually fill the inside of the filter up with water then hose the outside and let air dry. Another great thing to do is always have 2 filters. Let the one dry out and pop in a new one.

Good luck...
I have only had 2 filters.. and they clean out great with water..
