Won't turn on

I can't get my camera to turn on. I was taking pictures and it said battery exhausted and turned off. I've replaced the batteries with several different ones but it still won't turn on.

Battery life Approx. 180 shots with alkaline, 650 shots with lithium or 300 shots with EN-MH1 (based on CIPA standard) ---
Check condition of the contacts, although I think they're clean if it turns on at all.

Canon eos 600d, takes a picture on turning on and freezes. When I turn off and on again, it takes a picture again and freezes. Cannot access menu or any other button. how do I resolve this issue?

Camera electronics has developed a mind of its won and has gone crazy. You need to have it fixed or replaced whichever is cheaper.

Make sure the battery is good since many newer electronics operate erratically when the battery condition is not up to par.

My LCD monitor won't light up to take a picture but it does when I review those I have taken thru the viewfinder

Most screens can be turned off for low battery usage. Check battery with tester or have it tested or replace battery and check menu and see if review screen is turned off. Rich

I haven't turned the camera on for a couple of years. I've tried charging the battery, but I can't get it to power up. Do I need to replace battery or is it something else?

If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

My fuji finepix s5000 has lost power

see this causes and proceed . God bless you
If the camera won't turn on, check the batteries, or connect the camera to an AC adapter. If that doesn't work, remove all batteries, disconnect the AC adapter, wait a minute, reinsert batteries and reconnect the adapter.
If the flash doesn't work, the camera won't take pictures, or the screen keeps turning off, check that the batteries are strong.

My Minolta Freedom Zoom will turn on and zoom but won't take pictures. The numbers dissapear when you try.

Hi. It could be that the camera needs more memory. Also replace your batteries. if the batteries are low the camera won't run properly.

I took a picture with my Camera shut it off went to go use it again and it won't turn on. I've charged the battery and it still won't work. Any ideas what's going on. Thanks Jamie

Its not a problem with the battery, the G7 and the G9 have a problem where a loose screw inside the camera shorts it out and causes it to not power. The repair service is about $85 total for a new part, installation and return shipping of the camera!

My camera wont stay on it bleeps once then turns off

That sounds like your battery could be dead/not hold a charge. If you've charged your battery already and your camera still won't stay off and turns off right away, it's time to purchase a new battery for your Samsung TL105.

You can purchase replacement batteries quite cheap here:

cameras : My Camera Freezes When I Turn It On Or Take A Picture

P, td, li {font-family: arial, u; font-size:9pt; margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px; word-spacing:1px;} If you camera freezes when you power it on or when you try to take a picture, you may have a defective memory card. To test your camera and the memory card, follow these steps:
  1. Power off your camera.
  2. Remove the battery from your camera. If you have a memory card inside the camera, remove that as well.
  3. Clean out any dust or debris inside the battery compartment, and then re-insert the battery into your camera.
  4. Power your camera on without the memory card installed.
  5. Take a picture.
    • If your camera takes a picture, re-install the memory card, and then go to Step 6.
    • If it does not take a picture, your camera requires service. To set up service, click the Create Online Service Request button below.
  1. Format the memory card in the camera, and then take another picture.
  2. Important: Formatting erases all pictures and other data from the card. If you have pictures on the memory card you want to keep, download those pictures to your computer before you format the memory card.
    • If your camera does not take a picture with the formatted memory card installed, replace the memory card.
    • If the issue still persists after you’ve installed a new memory card, your camera requires service. To set up service, click the Create Online Service Request button below

I try to turn on my camera and the lens comes out but then goes right back in and beeps as if the batteries are low but I know they aren't. I can still view the pictures I have already taken by pressing...

hi

i know its sounds odd but yes the charge on the batteries (Voltage/Amps) is falling short for the camera to start as it takes more power to run the camera than to just preview your pictures

one suggestion i can give here is
(this could be potentially hezardous so tread caution)
if you have rechargale batts then try electro jump to them take any source which is roughly 2-3times the voltage of the batteries (eg: if the batt voltage is 1.25 volts take a 3-5volts source) and connect the +ve wire to the +ve and -ve wire to the -ve of the battery and hold for 10 to 15 secs and then immediatly place it for charging and let them fill charge and use them till the batteries are completely drained
repeat this cycle for 2 -3 times and batteries will come back to life

be careful to connect the wires correctly else they might destroy the batts also not to hold for more than 10-15 secs

cheers
pls rate if this was any help
