Oh boy. Here goes. We have a Bizhub C450 copier that has jamming problems every 20-30 copies. The copier tech came out and replaced the feed rollers and assembly rollers. Didn't work, but cost us some. I was then told it was the clutch bearings. Bought those and he came out and it didn't work after installtion. Cost us again. Now he called a tech support company who informed him we need to replace the whole right hand side door at $400.00 plus install and service charge. I groaned, and called another tech who specifically works on Konica Minoltas, and he said we don't need to replace the door. He said a good tech should be able to look at everything on the door and determine what the problem is. Whoa! We havn't had the KM tech come out as they charge a trip charge and service call of $275 just to come out! We've already paid so much as it is! After telling the initial rep what the KM rep said about not replacing the door, the initial rep then said he feels it is not the entire right hand side door, but the transfer roller motor! Now what?! Can anyone advise me please? By the time I'm done with the repair of this Bizhub, I'll have at least 6 months of copier experience:o) or ? Thank you so much in advance of anything that may help. I hope to hear from you soon.

Press Utility/Counter
Over at the right side of the display touch "details"
Now press Stop, 0, 0, Stop, 0, 1
This should get you to the service mode screen
Now touch Counters
Now you can touch either upper right corner is Jam
lower right corner is jam history.
For our purposes the Jam tab will be better. You can just list any location that has a number next to it greater than zero. There are 2 screens to look at as there is a 1 and 2 at the left side.
Obviously we are going to want to concentrate on the lines/locations with the biggest numbers. If there is one location for example that has 40 jams on it and the rest are 3 or 4 then that will tell you where the problem location is.
Now another word of caution. We do not know how long it has been since these counters were reset, if they have ever been reset. So once you get all of the locations listed with how many jams there were I would exit the screen to where you first entered the service mode and now touch the reset tab then the jam tab so as to reset the counts. Now as you run the copier we will have a fresh set of jam counts by location in case we need it later.
Good Luck

If your still having jam problems, one thing to always do to prevent jams is clean the rollers. The black long rubber rollers on the right side door (not the foam one, thats the transfer roller)
Use a soap like Simple Green cut in half and a rag. You dont want the rollers to get get a build up from paper and toner.
You also can print out the jam and service log by Tech Mode under List Output

I wish I lived in Kansas! If it's good enough for Dorothy, it's good enough for me:o) I can 't begin to tell you how helpful you are, and this is. Can you tell me how to enter the service mode please and look up the jam history? I've entered codes before to re-set the machine. Lucky me, when the machines were jamming or having minor problems the tech would tell me how to re-set it. I'm sure I can go into service mode and capture the jamming history. I know I can go no where from there, but at least I can feel a bit better knowing I won't have a problem with huge parts like the door:o) You are a Guru, and absolutely terrific! Thank you so very much!
