This is a common failure. The teeth on the knob have worn off. If you pull the knob out you will see a small clip that can be pulled off this will release the knob. Usually both pieces of the knob need to be replaced. For diagrams and illustrations enter your model # at www.appliancehelponline.com

My cabrio washing machine want start

start with Activating the service diagnostic modes. You can start with the cycle selector knob at any position.

  1. Be sure the washer is in standby mode (plugged in with all indicators off).
  2. Perform the following sequence of movement using the cycle selector knob. NOTE: After reset, sequence "a" through "e" must be completed within 6 seconds. When it tells you to rotate the cycle selector knob, it means 1 click, not a full turn. Once you have completed the cycle knob turns reset and "a" through "e", turn the cycle selector 1 click clockwise from the position it is already in. This is the fault code display mode. Then press the start button. Each time you turn the cycle selector knob 1 click clockwise after pressing start will show you an error code. Note: this washer stores 4 codes if any. The error codes on this washer are displayed in this format: F5 E3, F7 E1, etc. There is an error code chart in the image below.

If there are no error codes stored, I recommend that you start from the beginning (step 1 above) and then run the Automatic test mode. If this unit detects a problem, it will display the error at the end of this test.

Post the results back to me.

My washer test runs great I hear every thing working correctly but when I do laundry it doesn't spin. How can I fix this issue. I am getting an error code f7 e1

I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.

This particular washer has a test that we can run to see any errors. This can be confusing on this model.

I am including a document below that will describe how to view the old error codes. Use the section that starts with Activating the service diagnostic modes.

If there are no error codes stored, I recommend that you start from the beginning (step 1 above) and then run the Automatic test mode. If this unit detects a problem, it will display the error at the end of this test.

I hope this is helpful. Post back your results.

If there are no error codes stored, you will need to replace the control board. Here is a link to the part.

Have Error Code E20 - won't drain. How do I approach?

The diagnostic test is used to check individual component function only. TO START THE TEST: • Turn the Program Knob to the start position, Spin Only. • Press Start/Pause to start the cycle and save it. • Press Cancel to stop the cycle and turn off the LEDs. • Press Cancel again to turn on the LEDs. • Within 5 seconds, press and hold the Options and Start/Pause buttons until LEDs start sequentially chasing, then release buttons. 1. All the LEDs will sequentially light. Pressing a button below a light cluster will light all the LEDs in that cluster at one time to confirm functionality. 2. Turn the program knob (1) click clockwise from the start position. The hot water solenoid will activate and hot water should enter through the detergent compartment. 3. Turn the program knob (2) clicks from the start position. The bleach water solenoid will activate and cold water should enter through the bleach compartment. 4. Turn the program knob (3) clicks from the start position. The bleach and the wash water solenoids will activate and cold water should enter through the softener compartment. 5. Turn the program knob (4) clicks from the start position. The door lock solenoid will deactivate and the loading door can be opened. When the door is opened, the drum light should turn on. 6. Turn the program knob (5) clicks from the start position. The washer will fill and tumble. Once tumbling has started, the Boost Heater (if so equipped) will turn on. 7. Turn the program knob (6) clicks from the start position. The drain pump & door lock solenoid will activate and the washer will operate in high spin. 8. Turn the program knob (7) clicks from the start position. The control will signal the last error code. Exiting Diagnostic Mode There are two options for exiting theDiagnosticTestmode and returning the washer to normal operation: a) Unplug the power cord, wait 5-8 seconds, then reconnect the power cord OR b) Turn the program knob clockwise 2 or 3 clicks after the start position. Press Options and Start/Pause buttons together for a few seconds until wash cycle LEDs appear.

My washer won't start, it keeps flashing ERR and then the wash-time, and then LOC. My roommate says to fix it before, he held down three buttons, but can't remember which ones. Any idea?

Try the following two buttons: press Options and Select together for 10 seconds (or until the LOC disappears). The pair of buttons held for 10 seconds also sets this control lock.

To find out the error code, turn the Program knob to the start position, Spin Only. Press Start/Pause to start the cycle. Press Cancel to stop the cycle and turn off the LEDs. Press Cancel again and within 5 seconds press and hold the Options and Start/Pause buttons until the LEDs start chasing. Then release the buttons. Turn the Program knob seven clicks clockwise from the Start position. The control will signal the last error code. To clear the error, press and hold Options and Start/Pause for 3 seconds. Then either unplug the washer for 5-8 seconds before plugging it back in. Alternatively, press and hold Options and Start/Pause together for a few seconds until the Wash LEDs appear.

http://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/frigidaire-electrolux/12950-frigidaire-atf6000es1-wont-drain.html has a link to the service manual for the listed washer (the link is half-way down the page).

I hope this helps.

Wash cycle knob turns without controlling wash cycle

it's possible go to www.repairclinic.com and enter the numbers you have posted and it will show you what they are. I have the same problem. What I did was not pretty but it works for now. I broke a piece off of your part#387997 and simply turn my dial that way and then pull the center out to start the wash. Considering a new timer is close to $100+ and it works fine this way , well you know...

Bosch washer spin only

Had a repair man here for the same issue. Learned two things:

1. Too much detergent causes 'soap lock.' The electronics will get confused when there's too many suds left after a rinse and shut the spin cycle down. That's why re-running the entire cycle without more detergent solves the problem. Use less detergent.

2. There is a way to manually get the spin cycle to run using diagnostics codes. Here's what my guy did:

a. Washer selection knob in OFF position.
b. Hold the 'Spin Selection' and 'Delay Start' buttons down at the same time.
c. While holding those two buttons, turn the Washing selector knob to Permanent Press-Cold.
d. Keep the buttons held down until the LCD control panel reads 'P:01'
d. Release buttons.
e. Use the 'Spin Selection' button to cycle thru the codes. Stop when it reads 'P:04' which is the spin cycle.
f. Press 'Start/Pause' button to begin the spin cycle.

I don't know what the other codes do but this should save you from having to run the entire wash cycle.

Hope that helps! Tim
