When you connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED light up? If not then -
The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's power socket could be faulty.
Check power adapter’s DC plug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltage should be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on the bottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that is printed on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced.
If the adapter is OK then connect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/battery charging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's power socket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard.
This can be repaired but it requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket and repair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.

No power & LED Light in Toshiba Satellite L300. I've tested the charger and battery they are working fine. And I've tested the onboard volts with multimeter it shows around 20volts. Sir I would like to know what component is the problem so that I can replace it with other same laptop?

Toshiba Satellite L655 Not Switching on

You mentioned that it won't turn on with the charger (without the battery). Does this mean that it turns on if the battery is in?

If it turns on with the battery, then you need to replace your AC adapter.

I have a Toshiba L300, when ever i connect the Adapter Chager, the laptop freezes and it give me a blue screen background (not BSOD). The laptop' working fine when it's running on battery powe

It sounds as if you need a new charger. Try removing the battery and start the machine with just the charger. If that works then it may be a new battery you need. Some toshiba notebooks have a 'power saver tool' preinstalled, which is used to monitor battery performance. You can download a copy here:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU
Not sure if it will be compatible with your machine, but maybe worth a try as it could be a corrupt program causing the problem.

Laptop wont power up

when you know for sure the adapter is charging ..and the battery is good..but no power seam to be present ..than the motherboard is gone .... or some contact is issued somewhere on the primary entry of the power..cause if any power would go through the motherboard..than at least the power led would be on ..or the fan should be heard .If there isn't any ..than it is something wrong with the motherboard or with some fuses on the main power source way ..but its a long guess...more than probably it is the motherboard..to blame ..

My toshiba satellite L300 has no power

Please follow these steps VERY CAREFULLY:

1) Unplug the notebook from the ac adapter (charger power cord)

2) Take off the battery pack on the notebook

3) Once the ac adapter and battery is off the notebook, hold down the power button for 15 seconds

4) After 15 seconds, let go of the power button

5) Now plug in the AC ADAPTER (OR CHARGER POWER CORD) ONLY (DO NOT PUT BACK THE BATTERY PACK)

6) Now press the power button once.

7) If the unit boots, the unit suffered a slight surge

8) If the unit does not boot and remains dead, the unit suffered a severe surge and may be burned out and needs replacing

I hope this helps and let me know how it goes afterwards

Toshiba Satellite L300 Will not start

I have had a this few times... what happens is the Contacts on the Socket for the power supply comes away from the Motherboard. Subsequently, it will not charge, nor power on... & then the battery gets so flat that it stops it all from working... You will have to get it repaired, it is a bit of a mission. & sometimes the damage done to the Motherboard precludes repair. So get a firm "Quote" from a reputable service center/man.

My laptop toshiba won't power up. When I connect my charger to the laptop the charger blinks continuously...then turns off. But the laptop won't work at all. The power led on the laptop doesn't even lights...

The charger is defective take it to a store that sells them and ask them to plug in a charger for it wait for 20 minutes and if it works to kow the charger is bad, if it does the same thing then you know the bateery pacl is bad.

I have a Toshiba L300. The battery doesnt charge. When plugged in, no power is coming into the unit so cannot use.

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, until they won't charge up at all.

If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard.
This can be repaired but it requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket and repair. I suggest you get a quote first.
