Problem when using Dell E198WfP when using as dual monitor
It was working fine but all of a sudden when I move my mouse down on the screen and bunch of garbage appears at the bottom. If I scroll using my mouse roller it doesn't display garbage.
Works the same if I use my touch pad on my Dell Latitude D820 that is is hooked to.

sometimes if you unplug it and hold the power button on and then off and then plug it back in sometimes will reset them. if not check to see if the buttons are stuck on. I had a copuble of the dell montors and they seemed to be no good so I use an acer montors and they seem to be better
go to desktop - right click, select "properties", then "settings", with 2 monitors you should see both here. Make sure you have "extend my Windows onto this monitor" checked.
You should be able to drag the icons over to the same monitor as the start button.
When you drag your mouse across the screen it should move across both monitors.
Hope this helps...if it does, please give me a positive!!
Its a webcam that has good quality video and one that I've used in the past. You'll notice the way its shaped that it will sit and conform to the natural shape of your monitor.
Here is a little guide for setting up dual monitors with fedora core 6: http://blog.taragana.com/index.php/archive/how-to-setup-dual-monitors-on-linux-fedora-core/
I haven't had to use duals monitors with Linux yet but if this doesn't work let me know and I'll run some tests as I can easily set this up at work (we use the same computers and similar cards).
Did it work properly using a VGA (analog) cable? If so, check your DVI (digital) cable against the pictures at the bottom of http://www.datapro.net/techinfo/dvi_info.html. You probably have one of the two at the left. Each has a different bandwidth, translating to a maximum resolution. The native resolution for your monitor might be marginal if you have a single-link DVI-D cable. My 204B seems very picky about signal-level. It blinks when connected by DVI, even though it should be fine with a single-link cable, and complains about the settings even though the settings are optimal. Maybe yours is similar. I have ordered a dual-link cable and will try that myself.
I have an E152FP and I was having the exact same problem...my fix was just to turn down the brightness below 60 and I have not had a problem since. Hope this helps...
