How do I reduce the number of rings before VM picks up?

Hello, Maureen -

If you are asking about your land line telephone, the number of rings before voice mail picks up calls is most likely a feature through your land line phone service.

I suggest you contact your land line phone service customer service center, via a phone call, and ask your question.

How do I set up a private line v/m?

If others have voicemail on their phones then you know your system has a VM circuit card. To activate your voicemail you have to go to the individual who has admin rights to the voicemail. When they log in to their voicemail, they have manager options to reset passwords, activate or delete mailboxes, re-record the main greeting for your business, ect. Hopefully they keep a notebook with this info 'cause no one ever remembers all the steps. Also, make sure your ext is forward-no-answer to voicemail or it'll still just ring and ring. Usual code for FwdNA is 43, and 44 to cancel. Usual ext for voicemail is 200 or 300.

2 LINES PICK UP ON PANASONIC KX-TG4500

Sounds like you have the cords into the back of the phone mixed up. If you have a cord with 1 and 2 plugged into 1/2, great. But then if you have another jack also with 1 and 2, but plug it into 3/4, now you answer line 3 on second phone and line 1 lights up on first phone. Or line rings line 1 here and line 3 over ther. Gotta keep that straight and the jacks have to have identical lines.

Wont Ring, Wont pick up another line, upgrading phone lines

You will have to do a little programming to accomplish this. I attached a website to this message that has all the Toshiba manuals. You will have to look at program number 16 for line access and 81 for ringing options. The code to get in program mode is *#*#1*2*3. Hope this helps.

One of our phones voicemail does not pick up. I can transfer directly to the voicemail, but if I call the line, it just rings.... and vm does not answer...

You will need to go inthru f**config config. go to terminals and sets, select set, then go to capabilities and here select the ring no answer to the vm pilot # if you are unsure of what this is look at another ext that works. set the # of rings and the phone will not go to vm.

How many people sit around for 39 rings???

Are you saying that LINE 1 rings the first extension, say 21 for 13 rings, then the second ext, say 22 for 13 rings, or does line 1's ring move to line 2?

System programming is your friend. You can make the other phones ring directly or delayed.

Last, what happens when you dial FEATURE 75? If the phones are in the same GROUP, and they would have no reason not to, it picks up the call immediately. FEAT *3 button FEAT 75 programs a spare button to do it.

When receiver is picked up, it opens the wrong line

. Changing line selection on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Centralized Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

enter **
press the lit line in the order you want the to be used, i.e. line 2 then line 3 then line 4 etc.
enter ** when finished with line selection
.
Press feature "00" to logout

MY PHONE SAYS "MAKE BUSY" ON MY LINE. IT WILL NOT FWD TO VM/ ONLY BUSY!!

I was given a set of codes to use to reset the "make busy" sign, which was **1, not sure if these codes pertain to all phones, and to turn off "head set" i was told to use **3. I was then able to see the date and time again!! I also was able to pick up my phone when it rings instead of having to press a certain ext to answer from.
Good luck!
