the 7 lights indicate a joystick problem which means the joystick/controller will have to be replaced since there is no self repair fix Unless you can locate a good used joystick/controller for cheap (around $600.00 rebuilt) I would return the chair and get my money back Hope this helps
Donna sounds like the wiring could be the problem. Did you change the batteries? Does the joystick light up when you turn the chair on? Or does the breaker pop when you try to turn the chair on? Give me as much info as you can as to what you are doing when the breaker pops thanks
The first thing you should do is to narrow down the problem you are experiencing, If the flash code looks like the flash code for the charger plugged in check to verify this at the following link: http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html
You either have a VSI controller or remote plus joystick with the Jazzy 1103 Ultra.
If you have an off-board charger unplug the charger and turn the chair off and on to clear the error code. If you have an on-board charger that is inhibiting the chair from driving you need to unplug it in the rear electronics area to see if that clears the error. If you have tracked the problem to the charger or charger wiring it is a matter of replacing that component. If you need further help after these initial steps I can provide more specific information if you post again. Hope this helps.
Probably not, the controllers are usually made especially for the manufacturer and you cannot find them elsewhere unless a shady repair technician is selling used models underground somewhere. Hoveround controllers cost upwards of $1200.00, so that is not too bad. If your insurance company bought the power chair for you, they may cover the cost of the repair, at least partially. If you got the power chair second hand, repairs are COD. Good luck!
The 7 flashing lights indicates the VSI controller joystick has an internal fault requiering replacement. Call your local mobility store that does repairs or willing to sale the controller joystick to you. Inquier if you health insurance will help. These VSI controllers can cost upto $1300 - $1600 new. If you live in Utah you can try the Intermountain Homecare Custom wheelchair shop. Hope this helps.
Hello,
The Output voltage 24 - 29v ,Usually 27v. (And 4 Amps)
The Pin arrangement is Negative to the Left, Inhibit in the Middle, And Positive to the Right Assuming your looking into the plug itself from the front.
Always check with a Voltmeter first though because there are some chargers with the Opposite Pin Arrangement.
You will need to take it in for repair. 8 bar flash usually means you have a bad joystick/controller. They can sometimes send it in to the manufacturer to have it repaired. Find a reputable dealer and relay this info to them.
