Under the HDMI setting menu on the 605, doesn't it need to be set to "Audio In HDMI"? This should fix it.

Make sure that everything is set to HDMI and let me know if this still doesn't work

Thank you for using Fixya and Good Luck

Hello,

Is the subwoofer got a power? If not then troubleshoot the input power maybe fuse damage.

if there is power, EXamine the connection from the woofer to the output of the source. check the jacket of the of termination.

My onkyo reciever working very well but last 2 days subwoofer out put off from receiver .... subwoofer is ok

Hi, If you have remote to receiver try hitting the speaker setup selection. I am thinking perhaps a speaker setting was inadvertantly taqmpered with. In speaker settings you will have such things as distance setting-speaker size-delay etc..then you should come to a selection for whether or not a subwoofer is used ie: subwoofer : on, off.. I hope this has been of some use and thank you for choosing FixYa,Good luck, Prodzilla

My CHT-8 powers on but doesn't have sound.

Check your receiver's speaker set up menu and make sure suboofer output is set to ON.

Garbled / feedback sounds from powered subwoofer

The surround processing portion of the unit has a problem. In either stereo or direct mode, the digital procesing is bypassed. This could be just the surround processing IC, but that IC may not be available as a separate part. I would suggest that you bring this unit to an authorized Onkyo service center for an estimate.

No sound from Sub Pre-out on Onkyo TX-SR606

Also, it could possibly the preout terminal itself that is not working. One way to prove that is by transferring the subwoofer cable from the preout and temporarily transfer it to the tape out section. If it ouputs sound from there, then that means the speaker and the cables are working fine and it's just the preout terminal itself that is not picking up anything. ^_^

Not working until the power switch is toggled

Try turning up the sub output on the onkyo.

Subwoofer ... it is hooked up, but no sound

I found a manual online, and learned that there is a speaker set-up procedure on this Onkyo model ... so when it got to the subwoofer set-up, I simply went from "subwoofer off" to "subwoofer on"

I speakers to my laptop

You need an amplifier between Laptop/PC jack to drive the high power speakers/subwoofers. Or buy the special system like Logitech's Speaker system (speakers-subwoofer) that has a built in amplifier already designed for PCs/Laptops. Radio shack has amplifiers of various inputs and power levels.

Onkyo 875 - No sound

YOU ARE PROBABLY USING 5 SPEAKERS WITH OR WITHOUT A SUB, AND YOU CONNECTED THE REAR SPEAKERS TO THE REAR SPEAKER OUTPUTS. THEY WON'T WORK THIS WAY. RECONNECT THE REARS TO THE SURROUND SOUND SIDE SPEAKERS, AND RERUN THE AUDISY SETUP. THIS SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS AND SET UP THE DVD INPUT, IT WON'T WORK RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX, TOO MANY VARIABLES.

I CAN'T GET MY 875 TO RECOGNIZE COMPONENT VIDEO SIGNALS, I GUESS I'M STUCK USING HDMI, AND COMPOSIT INPUTS.
