My ps3 froze when i was playing call of duty 4 and now it wont load or play anything at all. i tried the the new upload version and restarting everything. it shows a loading icon in the top right corner and nothing..ihave the 60 .gig .ive had the consloe since it was first released
Same thing, the console does not load any discs - games or blue ray - icon shows in top left corner, but nothing happens. I canot find any type of system adjustment or menu icon to correct the problem. Please inform me what steps to take.

I was playing Rockband on my playstation 3 when it froze during a song. When I quit the game using the center PS button, it said corrupted data. So I shut my playstation 3 off from the rear power switch. Then I cut it back on. My cross media bar apeared as normal, but once I put a game in the playstation 3 it would not load it. Try playing playstation home and sign in and then quickly press the center or middle ps button to see if the cd is there, if it is then there u go. this happend to me and i ended up not returning it for a fix!
make sure your discs are clean then try again if same occurs put a cleaning disc into your console this will clean any unwanted dust particles if same occurs again you may have a problem with your laser that reads discs i had same problem
i foned sony custermer service thy said you have 2 send it in for a repair on the lens because the lens is broken which will cost you about £100 atleast. also i searched online and it said buy a new ps3 lens and open your ps3 and fit it yourself its cheaper but you have to handle all the parts on the inside of your ps3.
