Have you tried cleaning the filter? We had a similar problem. The repair man came and removed all the spinners and the other stuff at the bottom above the motor to get to the filter. It was blocked with all kinds of old food bits and pieces, the odd bit of plastic film etc. He cleaned it, replaced it and we havn't had a problem since but he said it needs to be done about every two years. It can be done by someone who has reasonable DYI skills.
If there are no lights on the control panel then initially check if connections to the panel are fine.If they look fine then you definitely need a new control panel.
No need for a new touch panel. Its always that the control panel goes faulty, not the touch panel.
you can also check for competitive rates from local dealers and few sites like--repairclinic.com and applianceparts.com
thanks.
I found an engineer who has made stainless steel axels for the rack...www.fifengr.com/maytag/....a cost of $40...but well worth the one time solution....
I have had this dishwasher since 2003 and haven't had a problem whatsoever. This is one of the best dishwashers I have purchased out of the 4 I have had.
Check for utensils or pot handles that may be hanging below the bottom rack and interfering with motion of spray head. Clean holes with toothpick. Check temperature at hot water faucet with meat thermometer. If below 120°F (49°C), turn up thermostat on hot water heater.
