It is possible to record your phone conversations. Sounds like you are trying to activate a voice recorder while you are talking on the phone (this would only record one side of the conversation anyway - yours). Greeting message

Using a pre-recorded greeting
message
If you erase or do not record your own
greeting message, the unit plays a prerecorded
greeting message for callers
and asks them to leave messages. If the
message recording time (page 39) is set
to “Greeting only”, caller messages
are not recorded and the unit plays a
different pre-recorded greeting message
asking callers to call again.

Using the OPTIONS menu while in a call, you can go all the way to MY SOUNDS menu. (Normally from there you can choose RECORD NEW) but if you are on a call it says NOT AVAILABLE DURING CALL... so you can't do it using the standard LG setup. Sorry.
if you cant hear caller voice. do one thing go to gallery and go to voice recorder and record some voice then save that then go to media and play recorded sound if its working means your loud speaker is working but not ear peic means (ear speaker) not working. so then you need to change ear speaker.you can do your self just watch video on online.

Messages: In this view you can listen to new and old messages, delete unnecessary messages, send the recorded messages and call the person directly from this view.

to record voice memos, press the menu button, and select OFFICE->RECORDER. To record a conversation, choose RECORDER during a voice call. Both parties will hear a beep every 5 seconds while call is being recorded.
This is a phone system phone. If you can record conversations it would be a feature of your voice mail on the system (the phone itself cannot do this). If it all worked, you should have the recording in your voice mail box. It may be in with recorded messages or there could be a separate location. Example: Press 1 to hear your messages, press 2 to hear your recordings, press 3 to change your password, etc...
