It appears the recovery partition has been removed from your hard disk. You need to obtain a Recovery CD from Toshiba.

Hi, to have a good answer please download from Microsoft webpage the program that let you check if your hardware is good for Windows 7.

I have never used that programme but expect it uses the sound card as an interface. If it does, the manual will tell you, you will need a Phono lead with 3.5mm jack plug on one end.

you might be able to install windows 7 in your notebook but Toshiba doesn't release any drivers for your notebook for Windows 7.

If they have release drivers for atleast windows Vista then it might have work out fine with windows 7 as 90% of the drivers meant for windows Vista work fine with Windows 7. only webcam drivers usually have the problems.
