Assuming the system came preinstalled with XP, you should have a Cd marked, "Compaq Operating System CD", mine was red. If not, insert the XP install/upgrade CD you purchased from the store. Follow the onscreen instructions and when prompted for a license key, use the key on your desktop label for the reinstall or the key that came with your product on a new install.
