I have a 26" Samsung LN-S261D HDTV, I can see the picture but ther is a box in the center that says not available in the current mode. I have spoken with Samsung. They had me take the batteries out of remote, change the source and it is still flashing "not available in Current mode." When I push the source button, it will have a fuzzy screen and in the top left corner it switches from av 11 to av 60 to av 62 and just keeps going like there is a stuck button.
I have the same problem. "not available in current mode". And, when I use the menu it keeps toggling thru the menu choices without being prompted. Please help.

True that.. whatever device you have connect does not support the resolution its pushing.. You need to investigate what resolution your device is pushing try lowing the resolution to supported ranges and bingo you got a fix. You do not understand how to do that look at the user manual.
The first time this happened to me, I unplugged the power cable from the back of the TV and then held the power button on the front in for 5 minutes. Its tedious but, it clears the memory out of the TV and should work.
The second time it happened my first method didn't fix the problem. So try this:
1. Press "MENU" on the remote. If you're problem is the same as mine, then the menu is jumping around very eratically so you'll have to time your button presses accurately.
2. In the "Picture" Category turn ON: DIGITAL NR, DNie Demo, Film Mode, and Blue Screen.
3. Exit the Menu, and Unplug the Television.
I let my Tv sit for about 2 weeks before I turned it on again, but when I did the "Not Available In Current Mode" message was gone, but replaced with smaller blue message boxes that say DigNR, DNie, and Film. I then went back into the MENU and turn OFF: DIGITAL NR, DNie Demo, and Film Mode and the problem was gone!
You may have a bad power supply. The worst case scenario is a defective panel. This power supply is very easy to change. Part number BN96-03057A Average cost is $77.00
