Frigidaire 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Range - White-on-White Logo
Posted on Apr 21, 2008

I have a Frigidaire 30" self cleaning oven that is a stand alone...the oven stopped working this past weekend

The oven and display clock on the digital display stopped working. The oven will not turn on, the digital display is total gone as well. I checked the fuses and they are fine. I think it is electrical. Does anyone know why this would happen and how to fix it?

Thank you.

I just posted elsewhere that I have the same problem as above. Help, please.

  • buddyman47 Oct 05, 2008

Yes, similar problems. I'll start baking and the oven will just shut off.
The door sometimes locks and I can't get the food out. It seems to be
like a child and has a mind of its own; doing what it wants to do,.....when it wants to do it.

    Help!!!!!!!

Have a similiar problem. Except that the whole digital panel stopped working after I sponge cleaned it now I can't bake anything. I thought that maybe I accidently turned it off by pushing too many buttons at once but I have no manual to look it up. Please help.

While in the midst of baking, the oven shut down completely. All controls and displays went dead. The fuses are fine. Unplugged for 30 seconds and plugged back in. Still nothing. Can it be fixed or is it on it's way to the scrap yard?

Frigidaire oven won't work. top range works fine, but digital clock and digital display stopped working which works oven, so oven also will not work f11 code

Hello steve o - Typically error code F11 indicates a shorted keypad. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually will clear most false error codes. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear contact a professional to move forward accurately. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.

I JUST CALLED FRIGIDAIRE AND GOT INSTRUCTIONS FOR SELF CLEANING:

1. TAKE OUT THE RACKS UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND THEM TARNISHING
2. TURN THE "SELECTOR" AND/OR "OVEN" DIALS TO THE LOCK (OR CLEAN) POSITION
3. PRESS THE "COOK TIME" BUTTON
4. SET THE CLOCK TO 2 OR 3 HOURS (I.E., "2:00" OR "3:00"), DEPENDING ON HOW DIRTY THE OVEN IS
5. PRESS "START" BUTTON
6. YOU WILL HEAR THE MOTORIZED LOCK MOVE INTO PLACE; WAIT ABOUT 30 SECONDS, THE DOOR SHOULD BE LOCKED AND CLEANING WILL BEGIN.
7. CLEANING WILL STOP AFTER THE TIME SELECTED (I.E., 2 / 3 HRS) AND THE DOOR SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK

Oven stops working and display screen goes blank

Hello The control has developed faults in one or more of it's circuits. This clock/timer must be replaced to solve the problem. The Good news is that this is not one of the really expensive controls. Found this one for about 70$ at a website. Worth fixing- but beware the 'self-clean' function after repair, and this control should last a lot longer.  Please acknowledge this post if info helps- have more if needed- Thanks- Ed

Display Panel Not Working

Only thing is check to make sure clock control is getting 120 volts into the l1 connector on the board. If it is make sure the ribbon cable is plugged into the board properly. If it is replace board.
