My psp go is frozen and i cant turn it off or anything do i have take out the battery?

If it freezes againThere may be a physical issue with your logic board. If you want to fix it yourself, You can get the part at psp Repair and there is a guide that shows you how to put in the part at psp Repair Guide.

Update did not work and PSP is now frozen
if it's a PSP with custom firmware, try entering the recovery menu. If you can't, look for a pandora battery.
If it's a PSP with original firmware, look into a universal unbricker and unbrick your PSP. If all else fails, ask a shop to check it for you

The key means youre psp is locked, swith the power button to the middle (when its down, the psp is locked) if its not down, theres a problem with your power button and it needs to be replaced.

Your PSP is bricked, and unfortunately this cannot be fixed because its a hardware brick. The PSP needs to be replaced.

That is what is happening to me except it is in mid game and not on the home screen. I have to pull the battery out also and start playing again. You would think buying Sony and for the price it would work better, so is Sony now making second grade handheld game console.
