Samuel,
if you don't here ok beep or any error beep:

  1. First check out speaker is connected properly to motherboard.
  2. Remove all component from motherboard like HDD,FDD, RAM etc..
  3. Just put only processor to your board and power-up
  4. There must be a long beep for missing RAM, if not means you have problem in Motherboard or CPU. Try out another board and another CPU to find out which one is faulty.
  5. If you got missing RAM beep, then power-off and add RAM. Then power-up there must be ok beep (only one beep) or missing RAM beep. If missing RAM beep, then your RAM might be faulty try to clean the connection point with pencil earaser and try out again. If no success then try with another RAM.

I think this will help you.
Please post your feed-back. Or ask me if any question.....
Gud luck

Check and be sure the power supply is set at the correct voltage. Ours was set for 230V and as soon as we set it for 110V it worked perfectly.

I cant get display in my asus p5gz-mx motherboard . monitor is ok. pc is on but no display.........

If you are using a flat screen monitor with multiple inputs be sure that the monitor setup is selected to VGA. If that is okay try repeatedly hitting the keyboard key for entry to the BIOS Setup when you reboot. If nothing appears try installing a video card. Check your motherboard over carefully to see if anything is loose or not installed properly like the memory or any added cards. Did the processor come installed or did you install it? Is it a supported dual core Intel processor? Do you get any beeps when you boot up?

Using ASUS P5GZ-MX motherboard, running Win Vista. It's supposed to beep once on power up but has stopped. Previous to this, the PC started trying to boot over and over by giving a beep every 10...

* beeping is all about processor, try to clean the surface and check the heatsink if still have a paste on it or change the processor for trial and check if the problem is still they same.

* also check the powers supply, voltage might get open. That's why power failure occur.

good luck..

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ERROR ON MY PC "INSERT BOOT MEDIA IN SELECTED BOOT DEVICE AND PRESS ANY KEY" my motherboard is "P5GZ-MX X-SERIES" solution I have done so far is...

if you took out the hard drive that was in there, there will be no operating system for the computer to boot from, thats why you are getting that error, if you still have the old hard drive in the system and added the new one to it, you may have to go to the boot section in the bios and change the first boot device to the old hard drive..

Asus P4S800-MX Motherboard video problem

The system speaker is usually a set of four pins and you use the outside pair to connect the speaker. You may need to go to the Asus web site to download the manual if you don't have it. Try to reset the bios either by shorting the appropriate pins or by removing the battery for a while.
