Hello-I have a 19" Philips flatscreen LCD television set model#19PFL3504D/F7. After attempting to upgrade current software via a USB flashdrive I reversed the disconnect instructions. I removed the flashdrive before unplugging the tv set. Now the tv set will not turn (power) on. This is my wife's tv and now I may have to sleep with the family dog- please help

On a Bush 39TV the USB connection is only for service like upgrading software. For playing films on flashdrive you should use a propriat media player.

If its removable you will have some screws on the bottom (probably 4) and remove those and the base will come off. Some have the screws on the back where the base attaches to the actual tv set

Usually a service tech employed by Phillips does the upgrades but you might check the phillips website and look for any upgrades for your tv, you might just be able to download a file which you can then put on a flash drive and upgrade

You do not set the monitor refresh rate and the resolution at the monitor, it will be the source that you need to set it to, the monitor will display what ever being fed up to the maximum it can handle, the same as PC monitor.

Go directly to theback of the set via the back RCA connectors(yellow, red, white) or component video, and turn set on Aux. If it works the tuner is Messed!
