I took my phone out of my bra, to answer and go "NO SIM CARD INSTALLED" in top left corner. It has not been dropped. Its worked fine, until last night.

sim card has cut edge on one corner.
this side goes in forward.
cut edge is always top left corner.

SIM logo is top of sim card,

"Emergancy calls only" usually means there is no network coverage.
Try.....

1. Turn phone off.
2. Take sim card out.
3. Leave phone off for 60mins
4. Insert sim card back into phone and turn the phone on.

If this doesnt work, you can contact your network for more information.

I think that is because of your service provider. Try with a different valid SIM card.

u check is that compatibal , if it is it will work or else u pls jailbroke it from redsn0w and then install yellowsnow from cydia

Try This:
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.


Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

Hi, Having had 60 mobile phones in 5 years I havnt seen a problem like this but I think that your problem is that the little antenna hidden at the top of your phone might have a problem because if you look in your manual it says do not put your fingers over the antenna which is hidden in the top of your phone. i am sorry if this does not help

i am not sure what kind of sim card are u talking abt...if other sim cards of some other service provider are wrkng fine with ur phone then obviously the prob is with the sim card...else u can reset ur phone...
