No! The amp must have a magnetic cartridge pre-amp to increase the sound level. If it has one it will say "phono" on the inputs on the back and have a "turntable" - or "Phono" selector switch. If it doesn't have one (many new surround amps don't) you won't be able to play it properly untill you get a "magnetic cartridge pre-amp". This will make the signal loud enough to be used on a normal aux imput of the Sony.

I have a Crest Audio V900, a set of Bose 901, a Gemini EQ-3000. Do I need a PREAMP? Or can I hook up the Crest AMP to the Equalizer?

You could use the EQ but it won;t sound as good as it will with a pre amp and also could make it a bit trickier when adjusting the volume and getting it to sound right.

Hello. I have a question. My amplifier has a dat/dcc input. Is this input for a digital compact cassette deck only? Can I use it as aux, i.e. can I connect CD player, dvd player or tuner to this...

You could try plugging into this socket if it is a phono socket. If it is a little square black hole its probably a digital only sock and it wom't be compatable with your CD player, etc. If the sockets and plugs match turn the volume to ZERO - turn off the amp, plug in the CD, etc. and with a disc in it press play. Turn the volume up VERY slightly and listen for any sound. Try the different input buttons to make certain the circuit is complete. Keep the volume low as you don't want to damage the speakers. Good Luck

Jl audio 500/1 amp low ohm light at high volume

I would try running the subs in parallel. Pos to Pos Dual Voice, Neg to Neg Dual Voice. Then Run + to + stereo - to - stereo on both channels.
So you have + and - running to one channel and + and - running to the other channel.
Also your LPF filter could be set too high.
