My remote is no longer working...i no longer have the manual. i need to know how to reprogram it for my tv (proScan) and dvd player (toshiba). how can i get the codes and how do i program it again?

need to know the model of the DVD player and remote to be able to further assist you...but a quick google search with that model # and the phrases "program codes" and "how to" should quickly bring up a how to article or manual for the dvd player with reprogramming instructions.
Did ever worked properly?Is it wright one for unit that you have,you can check that in your owner manual,if not I will go back to dealer and ask for replacment.

I was having the same problem with my 40" Proscan Tv. I had to go to Comcast and get the remote with the gray OK button instead of the red. I could program my DVD player with a 4 digit code so this remote worked when I put in the 4 digit code Proscan sent with the TV (0178). This was the only solution I could find . They do have the remotes with the gray button but you might have to be very persistant to get one with the codes for the rest of your electronics.
you need to switch the input from the remote to DVD and then insert the disc label facing to the back of the TV and the Mirror like side facing the fromt of the TV. You can also go to the Proscan website at http://www.oncorpus.com and download it from there.
