Currently there's no windows 7 drivers for this model, but we can still run this printer by installing the xp drivers in "Compatibility" mode. If you don't have the Xp drivers, download it from the link below and follow the instructions;
Olympus p-400 windows xp drivers
As soon as you click the link, download will automatically begin, you'll need winzip or winrar program to unzip the files. Extract the drivers to a new folder, right-click on the Setup file, click "compatibility" tab and check/tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows XP (service pack 2)", click "Ok", Now run the "setup" and connect the printer when you are asked to do so. This will definitely fix your problem. Many drivers and softwares which aren't compatible with windows 7 can be installed and run in the same way.

If you have problem, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

    There must be something wrong with the installation. Go to Device Manager and update the printer's driver once again. Don't let the wizard search for drivers automatically, you direct it to the folder where you had saved the extracted files.

    Right -click "My computer" > "Manage" > on the "Computer Management" windows click "Device Manager" (on the left pane) > and on the right pane of the device manager look for the printer's name, and right-click again > Update Drivers > No, Not this time > Next > Install from a list of specific location (advanced) > Next > select "include this location in the search" > Browse > locate the folder where you saved the unzipped files > Click "Ok"> Next > and then "finish".

    Good luck.

    Getting closer. I reinstalled the driver still no luck. I did notice that it appears that the driver needs to be digitallt signed. No sure what that means but it looks like it needs it. Thanks mark

  • markthehouse Jul 15, 2010

    thats digitally signed.

    Hmmmm.. .this is going to be more interesting... Now let's try another trick, if it's the problem with the drivers signing, the this will fix it....

    Restart your computer, press F8 while it's booting up, you'll auto-enter the "Advanced Boot Options", now use your updown key on the keyboard and highlight "Disable Drivers Signature Enforcement" and show below and press enter;

    It'll automatically boot into normal mode while disabling the driver signing feature. Try to print a file or document again. And let me know, if this is the solution, we need more to do with this. This isn't a permanent fix but a one time fix.

    Good luck..

Olympus P 400 driver mac 10.84

Olympus has not supported that printer on the Mac in 10+ years. Also checking the Apple printer driver support page I do not see ANY Olympus printers currently supported by Apple: OS Printer and scanner software available for download

I would suggest replacing that printer with a current model photo printer (also Dye-Sub) from Canon. The Canon Selphy Dye-Sub photo printers produce flawless professional glossy prints: Compact Photo Printers

I'm looking for a driver for my Olympus P-400 for os x

There's none. Turns out the printer is unsupported in Leopard and above. Gutenberg driver doesn't work, either. Olympus support says to throw out the printer.

I have purchased from Ebay a used Olympus P-400. I am very excited about this printer however I spent 5 hours last night trying to get it to load on my computer. I have Windows 7 and the software I...

After looking at the manufacturer's website I can see that the printer is only supported through XP. Do not despair however! You can still run the printer through a virtual machine using Windows XP Mode. A great tutorial is put out by Microsoft that explains how to use this feature in Windows 7. You can find it here:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/install-and-use-windows-xp-mode-in-windows-7

I hope this helps! If it does, please give it a thumbs up!

I can't find a Windows 7 driver for my Olympus P11 Printer.

If the driver for windows 7 isn't listed on the Olympus.com website, then there may be none.
I've experienced a lot of growing pains with Windows 7 not supporting a lot of older peripherals and accessories.

I found only an xp/2000 driver on the olympus.com website:

http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_support_downloads.asp?id=1191&os=w

It may or may not work under emulation with windows 7. You'll have to try to make it work for you. If it doesn't work, then I guess the printer is no longer useable with the current supported operating system of Microsoft.

Sharp printer am 300/400 cannot install on windows 7

Is your Sharp AM-400 on the Windows 7 compatibility list? Check here to see: <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-US/">http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-US/</a><br /> <br /> If it is not listed, you will not likely find a driver for it. You can also check at <a href="http://www.sharp.com/support">www.sharp.com/support</a> for your country.

Error 301b(1805) for olympus p400 printer

The driver for the P-400 printer will work in Windows Vista. To install it you will need to install it in Windows compatibility mode XP service pack 2. Download the P-400 driver to your desktop from the Olympus website. Open the zip file, right click the mouse on the setup.exe file then left click on Properties. There will be a compatibility tab there. Select XP Service pack 2 and then click Ok. Connect the printer to the computer and direct the found new hardware wizard to the folder for the files it needs to load the device driver for the printer. If this does not work, you may want to call Olympus Tech support for assistance. Their telephone number is 888-553-4448.
