I have an electric stove top by Jenn Air... The burner indicator lights come on but the burners will not heat up and the down draft fan will not come on...is there a reset button? The main breaker is fine. I did see a spark and hear a pop on one of the burners the night before.
I couldn't find the model number for the cook top. But there were only two listed so I clicked on the first one. It is an older model.
I had the same problem. Went to an appliance store that carries Jenn Air. Replaced both plug in units. Now they work perfectly and it cost less than $350 total! Good Luck!
You may have lost a leg of your 240V service. make sure you have 240 to the appliance and then start chasing down where you lost it. there is no onboard trip or reset on this unit

hi im gerbee,i will sujest to clean the area were is the place of ur knob control try to remove the control knob then clean it by using a vaccium coz sometimes the problem is very dirt of the control knob.

A similar problem oven fan works etc but no heat on suface or oven, both legs are live
each burner popped and that was it. I don't think circuits in the house are to blame
My jennair flattop cook stove has a right front burner with a dual element.(stove 9 years old approx. is in home we just bought) This burner just stopped working yesterday and the strange thing is the light around the knob is on. I was told by jennair they don't answer service questions. I think maybe the light indicates a bad element, any thoughts?
My stove top tripped the breaker, and will not work now. We replaced the breaker, and have power to the elements, but won't work. Is there a reset somewhere on this unit?
