I have a GE TrueTemp oven/range - oven is not working
I have a GE TrueTemp oven/range and the oven is not working after a power failure. Range burners and broiler work fine. Everything is dark when I turn on the oven (no orange light).
Re: I have a GE TrueTemp oven/range - oven is not working
I had a similar problem. The power failure might just have been a coincidence.Sounds to me like your lower oven igniter may have gone bad such as mine did.

Just because it glows that does not mean it is not bad... The ignitor is not working right and is going bad.... have the repair man replace the ignitor, or DIY.... Check out this tip about your problem...
Unplug the range.
Remove the oven racks.
Remove 2 screws holding the element to the back wall.
Slide the element towards you carefully. Remove the wires and install them on the new element.
Reattach the element to the back wall.
REmove bottom panel from stove. shut gas off for at LEAST 5 min. Longer is better. Then placel open flame above gas nozzle, slowly turn to ignite posiiton. After it is lit, wait 30 seconds and turn to on positon. If by chance this model doens't have a knob for this, then turn gas valve off for 5 min, let fumes evaporate, light flame, place over nozzle, turn gas on.replace bottom oven panel slowly.
