Mine did that one several profiles, but not all of them. In my case, someone had swiped their finger across the top area above the keyboard where the lights for the hard drive, cap lock, etc. are shown. A few of the lights are actually 'switches' or 'buttons' even though they don't 'click'. Swipe over the touchpad to turn it on, and again to turn it off.

I thought my issue was hardware or software, but it turned out to be some users trying to clean the top of the keyboard area while it was booting up.

The mouse is stuck in one place and wont move or click. we cant get to change the website because of that so pretty much right now my laptop is pretty much useless

Hi there,

When you use the words 'mouse' and 'laptop' do you mean an external PS2 or USB mouse attached or the touchpad? Please be clear in your questions.

Anyway, the problem seems to be with your hardware. If you mean an external PS2 or USB mouse then just don't bother. Go get a new one and start using it. But if you mean the touchpad then you need to show it to a technician.

Computer freezes on boot up

make sure the mouse and keyboard are in right connections...if you look closely youll see icons next to ports.
try without mouse at first start up ,load windows and use key with windows logo on it to access start and scroll to shutdown tab and restart...plug in the mouse before restart.
if logo tab isnt assigned press ctrl + esc to access start menu.
