Mitsubishi WD-52725 DLP DM board

The DM boards for that chassis are almost impossible to find if they are still good. Have you tried replacing the caps on the DM board that you have? Thats usually whats wrong are bad caps.

Describe your Mitsubishi WS-55711 65 in. Rear Projection Television Problem. It has a bad dm board is there any way i can get it fixed?

How did you determine it has a failed DM board? What are the symptoms the tv is having? The DM board usually needs the capacitors replaced.

Mitsubishi WS-65511 has flashing timer light but will not turn on.

I used to have a WS55909 and had this problem. The light is supposed to blink for one minute while the DM (digital module) boots up after a power loss. If the light continues to blink indefinitely, there is a problem with that board. The DM power supplies are known to have faulty capacitors on these models and will need to be replaced. If I remember correctly, there are (7) 1000uf 25v capacitors and they should be desoldered from the board and replaced with 35v ones. Note that my TV model already had 35v caps but changing them solved the problem: electrolytic capacitors have a much shorter life than other components.
The DM is on the left side and is where ANT-DTV and the IR repeaters plug in. The power supply is the board above the main DM board inside the DM case.
If this sounds too technical for you, get a new TV because a repair guy will charge you more than the TV is worth. In other words you could get a (30-46") LCD TV for the same price.

Ws-55511 DM 5volts draged down blinking led

Hello,

Did you check the caps on the DM board? They usually go bad after a period of time. Remove the DM board and the metallic cover and there should be 4 to 7 capacitors (There are different revisions of the DM board). Check these caps also, replace if needed.

Thank you,

Horizontial lines and picture deteroration

This one is tough. Can be either the DM module, formatter board or optics block assy. Check for bad capacitors first in DM module, then signal board then formatter board. If your lucky, bad capacitors maybe what it is. If not, a new optics block is what you'll be needing.

What is a DM board for a Mitsubishi WS-55711 55 in. Told it's a repair kit for this television. Where can I buy it? Thank you,

My grandfather passed away and left me a WS-55711. The picture screen is amazing, but then suddenly the unit died. A service tech came to the house and after diagnosis, told me (like so many other people) I needed a new DM board.

In the past I was a amateur radio enthusiast, so I have worked on Transmitter/ Receivers. However this was a while back. If I can save money for xmas, can anybody tell me where to buy a DM board and offer the instructions how to complete the task. Do I need a service manual to understand the circuitry for this DM board.

Thank you

DM removal

You will need to remove the entire chassis block as outlined in the manual. DM stands for digital board. It will be listed in the manual as PWB DM its sandwhiched in between other boards inside the chassis . Which is actually a metal box that will need to be disassembled then each board removed to get the DM . The DM is usually the bottom board. I dont have access to the WD65833 sertvice manual, but I am famillar with it. The DLPs are all simallar the entire Chassis block needs to be removed. Hope this helps if you need more info, let me know.

Mitsubishi flashing light replaced capasitors that were blown tv still has flashing light

The four cap replacement in DM module repair is simplistic
and incomplete, as you found out. ALL defective DM modules
have bad SMC's ( small "top hat" caps) AKA surface-mount
capacitors that can be changed only by the most highly skilled
bench techs. We used to change out hundreds years ago in
camcorder circuit board repair.DM board repair is a much more
accessible,thus more "do-able". For more info.............T.

WD-52725 Timer light is blinking and will not stop.

This part will cost you about 650 to 800 bucks my friend. if you have any soldering skills, and can follow directions, I posted a DM board fix. it may just be four small capacitors. Now this set that was used in the fix is not exactly like all the other Mitsubishi TV sets that still have a DM board, but if you can locate the DM board, follow the rest of the repair. if you do not know how to solder, do not take a chance, as this part is way too expensive to be experimenting around with. Get the Capcitors(there is a link there too for the capacitors)and take the DM board to a service shop, as this should not cost you a lot to have a pro do this for you.
