TS error unresolved on ned7200tw

I still have a ts error code after replacing thermistor and cleaning all vent & lint areas. can anyone offer suggestion? there is an electrical component to my lint screen that is not on amana's repair part list. i'm wondering if that could be the cause? amana suggested unplugging dryer for at least one minute to reset, but also no luck! :-(

Check to see if your thermistor is bad by measure the resistance. It should be 10K Ohms at room temperature.
If it's bad, replace it BUT you have to CLEAR to error code.
1. Enter to Service Mode by press CHIME and TEMPERATURE keys for 3 seconds or until 3 beeps are heard.
2. Access Diagnostic Codes by pressing WRINKLE PREVENT. A d will be displayed. Rotate the CYCLE SELECTOR KNOB in either direction to read it.
3. Press SENSOR DRY and TIME keys for 3 seconds to clear it.
4. Power OFF to exit Service Mode
5. Power ON

My dryer is barely over 2 years old, it has stopped working and is flashing ts, we cleaned the filters and replaced the thermistor sensor, but it is still not working and flashing ts. i dont know what to try now, i know if i have to replace the dryer it will not be an amana, or any other brand associated with it.

Amana dryer runs for 5 seconds. chimes with TS error code. I replaced thermistor and cleared code. still same issues. Help.

Check your lint screen and vent for restrictions or clogs. Then check the resistance for the thermistor at the control board. You need to confirm that the wiring and replacement thermistor are undamaged. Look for the white connector and test across pin 2 (blue) and pin 6 (red). If the resistance is in range, then the control board is faulty. Replace the control board.

I hope this helps. Since you already replaced the thermistor, I assume you know where to find the parts list for your Amana dryer.

WHAT DOES ts error code on a samsung dryer

A ts error means that there is either a thermistor short or the vent is blocked. First check the entire dryer vent from the dryer to the outlet. Clean any lint build up and make sure that the vent isn't constricted around any objects if you have flexible ducting. Check that the flap hasn't shifted to block the vent outlet. (I've seen this a few times.)

If that doesn't solve the problem, replace the thermistor. It's part 7 on this diagram: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Samsung-Parts/Dryer-Parts/Model-DV209AEWXAA0000/1482/0151200/50039356/00005?blt=06&prst=&shdMod= . If your dryer is still under warranty, contact Samsung for the repair.

I hope this helps.

That is actually a Ts error.

- Check Thermistor resistance.

I have a code poping up when i start the drying cyle the code is E5 but when it showes the code yhe top bar of the E dose not show so im guessing its an E

I believe you are describing a tS code.

If it is tS showing it is an indication that the termistor is shorted. The thermistor is the temperature sensing device used on this dryer.

Before replacing the themistor check for a clogged lint screen or dirty vent pipe.

If these are clear and you are still getting the code the thermistor would need replaced, the resistance of the thermistor should be about 10K ohms at room temperature.

The part number for the thermistor is 35001191 and is located on the blower housing in front of the motor.

Dryer will not start get an error code that looks like a t5.

It is actually error code "tS" which stands for thermistor shorted. The control interprets it as an extremely low resistance which is a result of a the dryer overheating. Locate the thermistor on the blower housing and replace it. Click on the link below and refer to the parts diagram then look for item number 27(thermistor).

Hello i got a maytag dryer model #mde6700ayw wont run and give me a code t5 what can ii do to fix that problem

I believe that your code is actually "tS" vs t5. TS is a shorted thermistor

From the repair manual.

tS = Dryer Thermistor Short Sensed

{The Thermistor resistance is very low}.

Check for:

- Clogged lint screen.

- Restricted vent system.

- Check Thermistor resistance.

- Check for diagnostic code 1

The thermistor is item 50 this link: PN 35001191
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5174648&diagram_id=28603393#d28603393

The thermistor has to be shorted to the chassis to get this code.
